Venetia sat in the passenger's seat of Tony's convertible as he brought it to a stop in Central Park a couple of days after the chaos of Loki's failed overtake of the world. The pair of friends could already see that the others had arrived-- all of them prepared to send Loki and Thor back to Asgard with the tesseract in tow.

No one said a word as they made their way over to the opening. Tony held a briefcase in hand that contained the tesseract while Venetia moved to stand in between Steve and Natasha. Her arms were crossed over her chest as she stared at the raven-haired alien man through narrowed eyes. Even with the bindings around his wrists and the metal contraption over his mouth that prevented him from speaking, she didn't trust him in the slightest. He had very nearly destroyed their world and had almost been the cause of her friends' deaths. She would never forgive him for as long as she lived.

Erik Selvig pulled a container for the tesseract from him van before moving to where Bruce and Tony were looking over the glowing blue cube in the briefcase. Bruce had a large pair on metal tongs in hand to pick up the cube, not wanting to risk exposure by touching it.

"Careful," Selvig warned as Bruce lifted the cube in the tongs. The scientist's actions were carefully measured as he lowered the cube into the metal and glass device, securing it for Thor's journey.

"Thank you, friend." Thor rested a hand on Selvig's shoulder before he took the device.

"Looks like he's going to one of Fury's little parties." Natasha whispered just loud enough for Venetia and Clint to hear her, earning amused smirks from both of them. Silence fell over the group once more as Loki and Thor each grabbed one of the handles of the tesseract device. With one final nod from the blonde god, he twisted his handle and the pair of brothers disappeared in a blue blast-- returning to their home.

"Stark," Steve moved to shake Tony's hand once the Asgardians were gone. They all knew it was time to part ways and go about their own lives once more.

"Doc," Natasha tossed Bruce his bag from her and Clint's SHIELD car.  It had already been decided that Bruce would be staying at Stark Tower for the time being rather than disappearing off the radar again.

"You ready to go?" Clint raised a dark brow at the Sarafian woman when she made no move to head towards the car herself.

"Just give me a minute," she whispered. Clint only nodded and watched as his friend her way over to where Steve was standing beside the motorcycle SHIELD had gifted him. The supersoldier smiled at his old friend, prepared to head off and get back to learning about the new world himself.
