"ms. downs is your husband coming to this session?" mr. bowers questioned.i looked at the middle aged man and smiled. "i'm sure he's just running a tad bite late."
mr. bowers eyebrows raised and he gave me an unbelievable look. "i've been working here for longer than anyone can imagine and being two hours late to a session says a lot." he answered with candor.
then why you asked?
ugh..
i wanted to strangle this boy and just beat him up to a pulp. it's clear to see who still cares about this marriage.
"wait im here." namjoon ran inside the room with sweat beads dripping off of his forehead.
his honey blonde hair was now onyx black and his voice got more hoarse than usual. he sat next to me and didn't look at me once. not even a glance.
he shook hands with the therapist and gave him his signature dimple smile.
he was playing dirty, i sense it.
"mr. kim, when we have sessions I expect you to come on time, we're all adults here, let's be mature about situations like these. if you guys are willing to work, we are first going to start by introducing the tension that's been killing the two of you."
"mr...." namjoon gazed at mr. bowers, eying him to give his name.
"bowers."
"okay well mr. bowers, ms. downs here is very stubborn and when we argue she likes to say things without thinking. before we got married she wasn't like this, her attitude changed instantly."
i scoffed and i placed my hand in his face. the dent on my ring finger was evident as mr. bowers looked at it for a second.
"mr. bowers, namjoon is very manipulative. he likes to control me into doing things i don't want and he likes to bring up the past."
from the corner of my eye i saw how namjoon wanted to respond but he noticed how mr. bowers beat him to it.
"based on what im hearing, you guys need to learn how to respect each other. there's no communication nor no boundaries placed here. in order to strive in a marriage you need to understand a person's boundaries and morals. you each have bad traits that clashes together and don't resolve the problems quicker."
"how long does it take for you guys to make up after an argument?" we both were sitting there staring at each other.
"five days to a week." i said.
"Hmm," mr. bowers hummed. "you guys need to come here every week."
i looked at namjoon while his eyes widen.
"hell no!" namjoon replied.
