Mirror mirror on the wall,

she makes you believe it all.

she swallows what she sees,

whether it's long hair or scraped knees.

You search in her reaches for who you are

but frown at every scar.

She's important to you as you come and go,

rewarding her with your tears as they flow.

In her, you have drowned an image of self-love,

replacing it with hatred for not having a body curve.

Mirror mirror on the wall,

I am not the fairest of them all.

You seem to reflect such things off of her,

waving off anything else as a blur.

Mirror mirror on the wall,

she stands high and tall

now becoming a lake

as you stand over her, trying not to break.
