(Jason's pov)

I kept knocking on Nathaniel's front door but kept getting no response, I have been trying to call him all day but he kept hitting ignore on me.

I've been really worried about him, he never handled his sister's anniversary well.

I always made sure I stayed with him but this year I couldn't I had been called out of town for work.

I've been Nathaniel's friend since elementary days, I was the only friend that he didn't cut out of his life after Elizabeth's disappearance.

I started to grow more anxious as he still hadn't answered the door.

Reaching into the pockets of my scrubs, I grabbed my keys, flipping through them until I found his house key.

"Nathaniel, you home?" I yelled out once I was in the house, but still nothing, I was met once more with silence.

Placing the keys back into my pocket, I walked further into the house.

I had checked everywhere in the house except his room and once I was there, I was met with a sight that made my heart drop down to my stomach, and my breath catch in my throat.

"N-No," I breathed out as tears began to blur my vision.
