(That evening) Sonya's POV~

It was a long, and grueling day of training for us all, especially Jim. You really had to admire his determination to improve in order to take down Gunmar.

I watched the humans leave and heaved a sigh. At the moment, I was in my human form, and I was about ready to crash for the night but my stomach was telling me something else. I will admit, I was getting hungry, and a hungry Loboan is an unfocused Loboan and if I can't focus in battle, well. . . I could loose an arm or a leg . . . or my head.

I turned to Draal, "See you at Jim's house, Draal." I waved at him.

Draal looked up, "Where are you off to?" he asked, walking over.

"Hunting." I replied, "A Loboan's gotta eat." I replied.

"I'm coming with you." Draal stated, making me tense,

"Uh . . . why?" I asked, "It's gonna be bloody and boring." I waved my hand dismissively.

Draal chuckled, "Well, perhaps Gunmar will attack you once again, and I may have to protect you." he joked.

"Like I need protection." I flicked his nose ring, making him snort, "But, if you wanna tag along, so be it."

Draal mumbled something and rubbed his nose, " . . . Crazy puppy."

As we made our way to the surface, I kept to myself mostly, moving swiftly through the crowd of Trolls. Secretly, I hoped I could loose Draal in the hustle and bustle, I really didn't want Draal to see me hunt. All that blood, and struggle, if you hadn't taken notice, but us Loboans hunt like real wolves.

That's how we get the reputation of savages from other cultures.

Soon, we opened the barrier out of Trollmarket and I stood in moonlight, looking up at the moon. I heard huffing behind me and Draal's voice came to my ears,

"Were you trying to ditch me?" He asked, walking up behind me.

I simply shrugged, assuming my Loboan form, "Maybe, maybe not." I then looked around and my ear flickered, I brushed past Draal and sniffed the air.

"What are you doing?" Draal asked, peaking a brow.

I hushed him, and knelt down to the concrete, "This canal, when dry if a hot bed for animal crossing." I sniffed the stone again, "I'm trying to get a scent."

Draal came up beside me and peaked a brow, I was about to snap at him when I caught the whiff of something. It was a musky scent with the hint of leaves and foliage,

"Deer." I noted, "It was here about a half hour ago."

Draal peaked a brow and cocked his head, "What does a half hour ago smell like?" he asked, confused and bewildered.

"Much stronger than an hour ago." I replied, standing up, and turning to Draal, "Come on, we can catch it!" I took off up the steep side of the canal.

"Wha-? Sonya!" Draal gasped as he ran after me.

I tore through the woods, branches raking against my face, the blood roaring in my ears. I lowered my stance and sprang out and ran on all fours. My claws digging into moss and rocks as branches and foliage blurred by.

Feeling the moon shine down on me sent my blood pumping, and I picked up my pace, that's when I saw it, through a glimpse in the trees. A buck deer, bounding through the leaves, graceful as an angle and as fast as any fox.

But, to me, it was dinner.

I closed distance between me and my prey within an instant before jumping forward and tackling the deer, it let out a squall as we rolled through the dirt, it's hooves striking out in every possible direction.

Third Person's POV~

Draal heard a crash in the woods ahead of him, and he ran faster to see what it was. Draal pulled some branches away panting,

"Sonya? Sonya, are you-" he stopped short at the sight.

Sonya hovered over the bloody remains of a deer, her jaws laced with blood as she turned her head to Draal. Her green eyes glowing in the light as she bared her white fangs which were also stained red.

She looked like a complete monster, something out of a nightmare. Her tail flicked before she turned her head down and returned to gorging on her meal of deer meet.

"Quite the kill." Draal noted, taking a hesitant step forward.

Sonya sat back and brushed blood off her face with her paw, "Thank you." she looked at him, "Sorry about the mess." She scratched her ear, seeming embarrassed, "I'd understand if you would think my people are savages for the way we hunt and act." She took out a chunk of innards and swallowed them whole.

Draal cleared his throat, "Well, you have your customs. No one should judge."

Sonya pulled her bloody muzzle up, a rib bone between her jaws, "Thank you." her voice was muffled as she chewed on bone.

Suddenly, a hearty laugh filled the woods, making Sonya freeze, she spat out the bone and stood up.

"Who . . .?" Draal asked, holding up his fists.

"Ya haven't changed one bit, have ya, Sonyalanda?" A hearty, gruff voice came from the shadows.

"Sonyalanda?" Draal echoed, "Is that your full name?" he asked Sonya with widened eyes.

But Sonya ignored him, her eyes were wide as the blood dripped down her muzzle, "No way . . ." she murmured softly, her posture easing and softening.

A man walked out into the open, he had sandy brown hair, glowing green eyes and scars on his face. He wore a blue vest, and a leather kilt, but was barefoot.

"A human!" Draal grabbed Sonya's arm, "We must hide!" he exclaimed.

Sonya snarled at him, and pulled her arm free, "Calm down," she turned to him, "is it really you?" she asked.

The man folded his bulky arms over his chest, "Do ya know any other strapping stud with green eyes." he grinned, showing fangs, that's when Draal noticed that he also had pointed ears.

"You're a Loboan!" he exclaimed, his eyes going wide.

"Aye, I am!" He closed his eyes, and he morphed into a huge, muscle-bound, tan-colored Loboan. Not as tall as Sonya, but more muscular,  with dark emerald spikes coming from his ripped shoulders.

"Oh, my . . ." Draal backed up at the huge Loboan cast a shadow over him.

Sonya chuckled, "Draal, meet my younger brother, Rhigo."
