Third Person's POV~
Jim let out a long and loud battle cry as he charged into the open, before them was a cave entrance shrouded in dying oak trees. A Gumm-Gumm charged Jim, calling in it's tongue, Jim wasted no time in cutting the enemy down,
"Where is she?!" He demanded, as the Gumm-Gumm's advanced, creating a barrier between them and the cave.
Draal came up beside Jim, "She must be held up in that cave." His grip tightened on his axe and he snarled, "Just say the word, Trollhunter and I will tear them limb from limb."
"No, we need to too this right." Jim said as the others appeared from the brush.
The night air was cool and eerie, the stars occasionally blotted out by dark clouds. The faint sound of thunder rumbled in the distance. But, thunder wasn't the only sound that reached our hero's ears, a roar shook the earth, sending shivers up Draal's spine.
"Was that Sonya?" Claire asked, as she held up her shadow staff.
"Not Sonya." Arrrgh snarled, putting Toby down on the ground, Arrrgh bared his teeth and snarled viciously.
Blinky gulped, "I fear . . . that it is not only Gumm-Gumm's that reside her, my friends." he backed up a little bit.
Gunmar emerged from the cave, his Decimaar blade in hand, the rim of the blade stained red with blood. Draal's eyes widened seeing the blood drip from the blade onto the grass,
"Where is she?!" Draal roared, "Gunmar, where is Sonya?!" He demanded, enraged.
Gunmar growled lowly, and threateningly, "The Loboan will soon be nothing more but an enemy to you all." he held up his blade.
"Loboans don't break that easy!" Toby yelled, holding up his Warhammer.
Gunmar smirked, "I will break you all with Decimaar. Kill them!" he howled.
Jim summoned his sword and growled, "Draal, got get Sonya, we got this!" he charged at Gunmar.
Draal watched Jim run at the Lord of the Gumm-Gumms with pure determination in his gaze. Arrgh blasted past Draal and smashed several Gumm-Gumms under his fists, making a clear, b-line path for Draal,
"Save Sonya!" Arrrgh roared before he ran to Jim to help him.
Draal huffed and began running, his heart in his throat. A Gumm-Gumm came at Draal from the side and Draal swung his axe around, taking out the Gumm-Gumm with ease. He then stopped at the cave entrance,
"Sonya!" he called her name into the darkness below, it was a steep path down into darkness, Draal would be blind.
All Draal heard, over the roar of battle was the faint clinking sound of chains. Draal skidded down the path and landed in a cavern, completely sealed in blackness and stone.
"Sonya? Sonya, answer me!" he begged, looking around, his fire-like eyes adjusting to the darkened area.
The sound of heavy breathing filled Draal's ears and he slowly turned his head to a corner of the cave, there laying on the floor chained up like an animal, was Sonya. Draal wasted no time running over to her, his axe falling from his hand, it landed on the cold floor with a loud clang.
The clang seemed to stir Sonya from a death-like slumber, she blinked a few times then looked up seeing Draal her eyes widened, "Draal . . .?" her voice was muffled, and her speech impaired.
Draal rested his hand on her head, "Shh, do not speak." he then saw the muzzle, "What has he done to you?" he gasped.
He then reached behind her head and snapped the leather, Draal gently pulled the muzzle off her face, cradling her head in his hand as he tossed the muzzle aside carelessly.
Sonya licked her lips and coughed, "Thank you." she rasped, her voice hoarse and broken.
Draal sighed, "Do not thank me yet, Puppy." he moved to the collar around her neck and pulled out a knife, the worked at the metal and it gave way, falling from Sonya's neck, leaving a raw rub mark in it's wake. Draal did the same to her ankles and wrists and before he knew it, Sonya was free, but she made no attempt to stand up.
Draal held her arm, "Quickly, we must escape before Gunmar realizes you are free." he pulled on her arm, but Sonya didn't budge. Draal growled, "This is no time to be stubborn, Loboan!"
Sonya looked up at him, "You came for me . . ." tears were in her eyes.
Draal froze, "Well, of course we did!" He knelt before her, "You are our friend, and we do not leave friends to die." he held her face.
Sonya buried her face in his chest, "Thank you . . ." she cried softly.
Draal hugged her tightly, "Save the tears, we need to go." he gently coaxed Sonya to her feet and, held her arm.
Sonya was weak, her face covered in cuts, as was her back, Draal was careful to keep her standing, "Let's get out of this wretched place." he held her hands.
Sonya's emerald eyes seemed to shine as her ears flickered and pricked up, her tail swished as she brushed tears from her eyes, and a smirk fell nicely on her lips, "Yeah, best idea I've heard all day." she chuckled.
Draal smiled at her, seeing, even though she had been beaten, bruised and battered, Sonya was still Sonya, no matter what. "Atta girl."
Suddenly, Sonya froze and then she grabbed Draal by his horn and yanked him aside as a black, obsidian knife embedded in the wall.
"You're not going anywhere!" the Hunter hissed, his eyes glowing in the darkness.
