Third Person's POV~
The light of dawn shone over the mountains, a cold wind whipped through the crags and crevasses. Eventually making it's way into the Loboan Den. The Crystals illuminated the cavern, waking the Loboans from their slumber. The pups were the first ones up, and they instantly began playing with one another, which was nothing out of the ordinary.
Sonya, on the other hand, was out cold. Her wound had stopped bleeding but it was still painful, and the only way she could escape the pain was, indeed, through sleep.
Draal, actually had fallen asleep too. He had keeled over, lying right beside Sonya. The big troll snored, on arm flopped lazily over Sonya's abdomen. The curtain to the den entrance was pulled back and Hougan entered, the big black Loboan froze, seeing the troll laying next to his wounded first-born.
Now, I know you're thinking that Hougan will go ballistic and try and kill Draal, but Hougan wasn't that kinda father. The big Loboan walked over to Draal and nudged him with his foot, "Stone skin." he growled.
Draal's eyes fluttered open, and he froze, seeing the position he was in, he then looked over to Hougan, "Sir, I promise you this is not what it looks like." He sat up and dusted himself off.
Hougan knelt over his daughter and pulled the blanket up over her shoulder, "I know." he murmured, he then looked to Draal, "But I am not stupid, nor blind." he rumbled in a deep voice.
Draal scooted away from Sonya and peaked a brow, "What do you mean?"
Hougan kissed Sonya's head before looking up at him, "You love her." he spoke.
Draal froze, "Uh-what? I believe you are mistaken." He stood up and cleared his throat.
"Says the troll who was sleeping with an arm around my daughter," Hougan chuckled, standing up, his form casting a shadow over Draal.
Draal growled, "Sonya was suffering from pain, and a nightmare, I did not know what else I could do to soothe her." he defended, slowly backing up.
Draal wouldn't be the first to admit, but Hougan was intimidating, huge and he could snap Draal in half in less than a second. He understood where Sonya got her fire, and strength from now, if her father was any indication.
Hougan chuckled, "And I appreciate that," he said, "but I have been alive for many a moon, troll, and I know love when I see it." he looked down to Sonya.
Sonya stirred a little bit, before her eyes opened, "Papa? Draal?" She sat up, holding her side, "Ugh, I feel like I got hit by an avalanche."
"Easy, easy." Hougan leaned down and nuzzle her, "Aside from the pain, how do you feel?"
"Been better." She admitted, popping her neck, "Ugh . . ." she then morphed into her Loboan form, her ears floppy and loose.
Draal sighed, "Now what? That hunter will be back." he noted.
Hougan pinned his ears, "No, he will not," he folded his arms, "he serves Gunmar, and once the hunter reports that the Trollhunter is here, in the Black Mountains-"
"He's gonna go for Trollmarket." Sonya gasped, pulling the blanket off her form, leaving her legs and ripped pants exposed. Her skin was littered with cuts and bruises, "We gotta get back to Trollmarket." she stood up and held her side.
"Slow down, Sonya." Draal grabbed her arm, "You are in no shape to walk, much less fight." he told her.
Sonya popped her shoulder and stood straight, before she looked up at him, "Draal, if Gunmar gets into Trollmarket chaos will ensue and it will be the end of the world as we know it." She held her side, "This wound . . . can't get in the way of that."
Hougan pinned his ears, "Sonyalanda-"
"No, Papa," Sonya walked up to him, her ears flat to her skull. Sonya was covered in healing wounds and cuts, her entire upper body was wrapped in bandages and her pants were in shreds and her face was interrupted by a cut over her muzzle, "I won't run. I don't care about my well-being, I'm a part of something bigger now." she sighed deeply, "You always told me that you should never run from a problem when you can do something to find a solution." She pinned her ears and her tail lashed back and forth.
Draal looked between the two Loboans before he backed up a little bit, giving the two space. Hougan stared down at his daughter, before his one eye softened, "Your mother was just like this too. Fearless, strong." he put a hand on her shoulder, "Find some proper clothes, then meet me in Granite's Forge." he walked out.
Sonya sighed, and pinned her ears before making her way to the crate and began rooting through it, "Draal?" she asked.
Draal looked at her, "Hmm?" he peaked a brow.
"Thank you." She pulled out a green tank top and faded jeans, "For last night, it helped." her tail wagged a little bit.
Draal stood uncomfortably in the den, "Of course."
Sonya then stood up, wincing in pain, "Uh, Draal, I gotta change so . . . would you mind?" she asked, pointing to the den entrance.
"Oh! Oh, right. I'm going." He rushed out of the den, his face heated.
Sonya watched him go, before she began changing.
