Sonya's POV~

I stared up at Draal as we walked through the woods, the sky was slowly growing lighter by the second. Dawn was coming, Draal, Blinky and Arrrgh had to find cover otherwise they'd be turned to stone. I then let my head rest against Draal's chest before speaking, "We should find a safe place to wait out dawn, there's no way we'd make it back before the sun rises." I murmured softly.

Draal peaked a brow, before looking to the horizon, "I suppose you are right." he looked to the woods, "There is a cave not too far from here." He then looked down to me, "Can you walk?" he asked, peaking a brow.

I nodded as I stood on my two legs, my knees wobbled a bit before I righted myself. I felt the cold grass on my bare feet before I sighed and popped my back, "Let's go, then." she motioned for Draal to follow.

The group walked through the woods, in a slightly rushed manner. They soon came to the cave and entered, it was small, and slightly cramped but everyone managed to fit. Sonya sat down, with her back against the cave wall, watching the sky turning from a navy dark color to a blue, to a pale blue to a yellow. Sonya rubbed her bare knees, and sighed, feeling the light dance on her skin.

Claire, Jim and Toby were outside of the cave, enjoying the early morning light. Sonya watched as Jim brought Claire into a soft tender kiss, while Toby just rolled his eyes and scoffed. Arrrg grumbled happily before curling up and falling asleep.

"A wise action . . ." Blinky yawned, "my friend." he then sat down, and rested his back against Arrrgh and promptly fell asleep.

Draal, however, stayed awake and walked over to me.. He then sat beside me and looked out at the rising sun, being sure to stay in the protection of the shadows.

"Hmm, it is beautiful." Draal commented, before snaking a hand around my waist, "But," he pulled my form closer to him, "not as beautiful as you."

I blushed a bit, before scratching my neck, "Awe, c'mon." I  crossed her legs, "You're making me blush, Draal." I then looked to the rising sun, and my green eyes softened a bit, and my face fell.

"What is it?" Draal asked, upon seeing my expression, "does something hurt? Are you in pain?" he pressed.

I  shook my head, "No, no," I assured him, "It's just . . . Gunmar is still out there. And God knows what he's planning." I turned to face Draal, "What about that spy in Trollmarket? O-or Queen Ursurna? She's insisting on staying in Trollmarket on account of Jim going into the Darklands." I said, recalling what Blinky had told me weeks ago, catching me up on the recent events.

Draal gripped my shoulders, "Sonya," he smiled at me softly, "for the moment, look to the sun," he turned my body to the sun which peaked over the mountains in the distance, "for where there is a sunrise, there is a future for us all."

I sighed, and turned to Draal as he continued, "Do not worry about Gunmar or Ursurna. For now, let us enjoy this moment of peace and beauty, for however long it lasts." he cupped my cheek.

I leaned into his touch before smiling softly, "I guess you make a point." I admitted.

Draal chuckled and pulled me into his lap, "Besides, you have just been revived from the dead," he kissed my forehead lightly, "you deserve a moment, if not more, of rest."

I sighed and rested my head against his chest, "Hmm, I guess so." I then looked up at him, "No matter what the future brings, we face it together, right?" I peaked a brow.

Draal looked out to the sun as it rose above the horizon, bathing all of Arcadia Oaks in it's warm light, he and I watched Jim, Toby and Claire chit chat happily as a new day dawned.

"Weather it be Gunmar, Ursurna's judgement, Vendel's criticism, or even my father, Sonya," he leaned down, "we will never face our obstacles alone."

I pressed my forehead to his, thinking of how far I'd come. I came to Arcadia Oaks to help Jim become the best he could be, and kill Gunmar. I was a fighter, I'd sooner punch someone in the face than talk it out. Now, look at me, snuggled up in the arms of one of the kindest Trolls in Trollmarket, watching the sun rise as a new day began for us all.

Little did I know, this moment was going to soon be swept away by the hell that was gathering on the horizon beyond that sunrise . . . .
