Chapter 11
Ofa's POV
It's 6pm and dinner is served at 7pm. I quickly say goodbye to my new found friends and head over to Tasi who was now walking away from the bar. I tried running after him but he was walking too fast so instead of rushing after him I just sat down on a chair in the yard to catch my breath. I turn to see Tasi disappear into the hotel and I put my head down in defeat knowing that this is definitely the beginning of an argument I tried my best to avoid earlier. Gosh he is such a drama queen.
I pull out my phone and finally decide to call my parents. Talking and listening to my parents voices all so happy through the phone just brings tears to my eyes. I try my best to sound happy but deep down I really miss them so bad, this will have to be the longest I will go without seeing my parents faces. I talk to them for a bit before hanging up and look at their pictures on my phone and cry a bit more, and the alcohol certainly isn't helping me ...
I see Tasi looking down at me from balcony of our hotel room and he looks really pissed off, but I don't really care right now, I just spoke to my parents and I am allowed to have this time to myself. I just need a few minutes to pull myself together before I can face Tasi.
I look back at my phone as I dial Fili's number and it goes to voicemail. Fili is probably in a bar sleazing on some poor dude. I giggle to myself at the thought. I then dial Misty's phone and she picks up on the third ring. "Hiiiiiii my bestie" I sing into the phone.
"omg Ofa? How are you? How was your flight? Is everything ok?" Misty asks so eager to know how it all went.
"yes, everything has been good and we are loving it. I have spent all afternoon at the bar meeting most of the staff members and I have none other but you to thank you for all of this. I'm having a blast and its only been a few hours" I laugh into the phone. "Omg, you didn't tell me most of the staff know you or are related to you suga" I say to my bestie
"suga, of course. That's my family business" Misty chuckles into the phone "what better way to run a business when you have staff members that are family and that you can trust. Besides some of them don't wanna work in the plantation so they work there" Misty laughs
I see Tasi stalking towards me in a lavalava and a blue singlet. I honestly don't know what is going on with him ... always hot and cold, sweet and sour but I know he is trying to adjust to married life, but I am too...
"Hey hun I'm so sorry but I need to go. Got to get ready for dinner in an hour but I will call you tomorrow ok my darling"
"its ok hun, you do what you gotta do but I will hold you to your word. I'll be waiting by the phone tomorrow cos I wanna hear all about it" Misty says before saying her goodbyes and hangin up.
Tasi comes straight to me and stands in front of me looking all staunch and angry. I don't say a word but just stare at him like I can really intimidate him with my stare. I get up and walk away before I feel a tight but rough grip on my arm causing me to turn "where do you think you're going?" Tasi says with gritted teeth.
"Tasi please, you're hurting me" I plead almost in tears from his grip
I look into Tasi's eyes as he stares back at me. He look so evil, like it wasn't him. Tasi's face changed so drastically within seconds when he realises I've started crying and trying to remove his hand from my arm. Tasi lets go as I make a run for our room and into the bathroom locking the door.
As soon as the door is locked I burst into sobs, I turn on the shower. After my shower I head back into the room to get dressed and I find our room empty and no Tasi in sight. So I quickly dry myself, putting on my lotion then my under garments followed by the first dress I can find in the drawer.
