Misty
Chapter 6 - Is it worth it?
What the hell??? I just asked him a simple question and he gets all heated over nothing ... now is not the time for that attitude. I still haven't been around to say thank you to all our families that have been up all night lastnight and are still going just to make our day the best day of our lives.
I ignore Tasi's foul attitude. I grab the train of my dress in my arm as I head back into the hall where my family are cleaning up.
I see Tasi's mother arguing with someone from the catering company so I turn and head the opposite direction.
"mum give me the broom, you should go and have a rest. You have done heaps today" I say grabbing the broom off my mother.
As I am sweeping the floor the broom is almost being ripped from my hands as Misty stands there with her hand on her hip just staring at me.
"um why are you sweeping? That's what everyone else is for" Misty says with annoyance in her tone.
"its ok Misty, everyone have worked so hard today and the least I could do is help out" I smile and keep sweeping ignoring her death stare.
As I am chatting with Misty as we talk about how the day went the broom is ripped from my hands and I turn to see my two cousins Jonathan and Sam both laughing at my reaction as they run off with the broom.
I giggle at the idiots while Misty grabs my arm as we walk towards the exit. When we get out the door's I notice two vans backed into the side of the hall with its backdoors open and both vans are almost full of gifts of all sorts of shapes and sizes so I head back in to see if theres anymore presents to take out but then I'm pulled by my arm and as my body turns I see my aunty Lisa with teary eyes.
"honey please take a photo with your aunty would you?" Aunty Lisa says wiping her eyes before them tears fall.
We head back into the hall and 1000 photo's later I notice the hall is all cleaned and I take it upon myself to go around to the cousins, aunties, uncles who have all stayed back til everything was done. A very emotional time for me as I say my thank you's to everyone for their love and kindness of helping me and my parents. Many blessings are given to our marriage as I go around and I can never be more happier than this. Blessings is all I need.
As I am wiping my tears Tasi stands before me as his long arms pull me into a hug to comfort me.
"babe when you're ready, we really should be heading home. Its been a long day for everyone" Tasi says into my hair as his arm is wrapped around my shoulders and turns me to head for the exit doors. I quickly stop in my tracks. "no we cant leave yet, I still have a few more people to say thank you and good bye too" I say with abit of anger in my voice.
"fine, you do that and when you are ready to go home I'll be in the car waiting" Tasi says as he stalks off out the exit doors.
My family are all staring at me with the 'what the hell just happen' look. I smile to try and cover my husband's rude attitude. I stay staring at the door as Fili and Misty both walk through the doors, with confused looks on their faces.
