A Sun Lit Path

Chapter 1 "The Start Of It All"

         Now I am not much of a storyteller but I just need to write about this! Let's get the introductions out of the way. My name is Leo Ray. I am a graduate of O-side high. I had a cray experience in my junior year of high school. Some people may say that their year of being a junior is stressful but mine really wasn't. Let's start at the very being. 

         It was August 19th twenty nineteen. I was celebrating my friend's birthday party. My friends were playing video games and having a grand time but it soon came to a stop once we all got an email from our school. 

"What does the school want from us now?!" said Ryan. Ryan is my friend once i was a freshman. He is on the spectrum just like me. He has funny jokes that come out of nowhere and it's hilarious. 

"They probably want to remind us about school. Idiots!" said Joey. Joey looks like the athletic type and he is. He runs 1k a day, does really well in gym class, and always eats healthy. 

"Maybe it's because of my bad grades?" 

"No, why would they do that? Then all of us would get your grades." That was Sarah talking about her grades and Paige mocking Sarah. Sarah was my first friend in middle school. We haven't talked all the time but now we have a stable relationship as friends. Paige is...something. He is quite a human. 

"Maybe it's a special announcement? I don't know let's read it." said Jess. As i began to read out loud the email says this.

"To all the students of O-side high. We have got a chance to go to the famous Colorado High School! This school is not like most schools here in New York, instead it is complete different. To not give much away a paper forum will be mailed to every student that will be attending O-side high 2019-20. Please be aware that this is all paid for by the Colorado school so you do not have to spend any money. We would like for you to take the chance and enjoy your year at Colorado high." 

"Whoa sweet! We don't have to go to O-side this year! What a great thing to end my years at school." Joey said in a uplifting tone. 

"Yeah this is gonna be GREAT!" said Sarah. 

It was 9:30 pm and the party was dying down so i deiced to leave. Once i got home and head to my bed my day went so fast! One thing I knew i was at home reading the mail and the next thing i was at the airport! I got through security pretty quick and i was heading to terminal one. Once I got their i saw my friends! I gratefully say, "Hey y'all!'

"UUUUUUUUUUUGH!!!" said everyone as I entered the seating area.

"Wow thanks for the KIND greeting." I said mockingly. 

"Nah it's fine great to have you." said Jess. Let me explain about her. She is unique, funny, all around kind, and can take a joke here and there. I also met her in middle school but like Sarah i did not take to her much. As i got up to stretch my legs I asked everyone, 

"Hey, do you all want some snacks? Like chips, gum, or water?" 

"Naaaaaaaaah." Everyone said displeased.

"Alright I'll get some myself then." I got up from my seat and i walked over to the nearest market. Once I got my gum and water i saw a person running as full speed and she looked like someone i knew. I tried to stop them and low and behold it's my girlfriend Xavier! I do not know where to being with her. She is funny, caring, kind, great personality, she was the best!

"Do you know where terminal one is? I am late!" she said out of breath. 

"Well terminal one is just that way. You are on the same plane as me as well with our friends!" 

"Whoa really? I thought i was gonna be alone."

"Nah that would not happen. Let ya what meet me over at terminal one where my stuff is and i'll keep ya company, okay?"

"Okay." As she walked over there. I paid for my stuff and walked over to my seat where Xavier is sitting right next to me. 

"Apparently everyone in O-side high is going on this." Paige said 

"Really? So we get new freshman?" Ryan said displeased. 

"Yup, sadly." Paige said.

"Ugh." Joey said also displeased.

The woman working at the front desk called us up and we walked up into the airplane. I sat near the aisle while Xavier sat next to me and Jess got the window. I closed my eyes with my arm around Xavier and i awoke to us landing! I looked out the window where Jess is staring at and behold the school where would we spend a year at. I could not believe it, this school as it's own airplane landing set up while the school is right next to it! We got off of the plane and walked down onto the sandy ground. We were instructed to walk to the front of the school and stand with our luggage. I got my group of friends and we stand together looking up at at 5 feet tall podium. After 5 minutes of us talking our principals and the new principals of Colorado high. The main principal stood up and walked to the microphone. He was in a black and purple striped suit with a maroon neck tie, and his dark purple hair was combed over. He said, 

"Attention O-side students, I am the principal of this fine school, Mr. Kaw. We have chosen your school by random as a part of our program. We invite you all to stay and have fun with us. Now some rules, you all will be following your school's rules but our school has a zero bullying policy. If we see you bully another student you are sent back to New York where you need to repeat you year again. Now onto some fun stuff, our school has a in-school currency which we all "Codo-coins." Codo-coins are automatically given to you if you attend you class on time, get good grades, pass test or quizzes ect. As a final note, as you can see by this big television you will be put into a house in a district.These 6 districts' are kinda like a neighborhood where you have 3 houses in a cul-de-sac way. We have put you with 20 to 30 people that are your closet friends. So you can be thankful of that. Once you see your name on the screen of which district and house you are in you will be reported to go to said district and house. Have a wonderful time here!" 

As Mr. Kaw was done talking all of us went to see what we where put in. I was in District 3 House 2 but I could not see my other room mates so i headed on their. Once i got my hotel like key card I slide it into the the slot and open the door.
