Katie & Chuck's Apartment, Liam's Room
(Max and Duke are helping Liam get used to a morning routine for when he starts school. Liam is asleep. There is a blue uppercase L on the headboard of his bed. On either side of the L is a nightlight shaped like a fox and a yellow and purple piggy bank shaped like a dinosaur.)
Max (whispering): Alright, Duke. Sound the alarm. (Silence. Duke struggles to activate an alarm clock, but with no success due to his excessively large paws. Max face paws himself.) You gotta be kidding me right now!
Duke (whispering): Sorry, Max. I was born with such large paws. (Max takes the clock away from him and does it himself. It finally goes off. Liam's eyes jolt open and he leaps out of bed. Both dogs exit stage right.)

Liam: This is my morning routine, morning routine. Getting ready for the start of school. I won't find success if I'm dressed like a mess, but I will if I'm dressed for success. Here's what I do every day, I do every day. I get up every morning, pick out what I plan to wear and get dressed. Then I eat breakfast, grab my lunch and put my school supplies in my backpack. I brush my teeth and scrub my face until it's squeaky clean. Then I say goodbye to my family and then I'm on my way. This is my morning routine, morning routine. Getting ready for the start of school. After I get dressed, I lace up my shoes, then I go out to the kitchen and eat breakfast. I then pack my lunch and put my school supplies in my book bag. Then I am on my way. This is my morning routine, morning routine. I am a clean, well-oiled machine. Getting ready for the start of school. I won't find success if I'm dressed like a mess, but I will if I'm dressed for success. Here's what I do every day, I do every day.
