Inside the Big Top.
Max: We're alive?
Duke (entering via Stage Left): Are you guys OK?
Snowball (enters via Stage Right with Daisy and Little Sergei): We're totally NOT OK! (Leo charges at Hu with Snowball and Daisy. Hu growls at Leo.)
Daisy: Hu, what are you doing?
Leo: Get out of Leo's way. (Fireworks suddenly light up the night.)
Mel & Tiny: God bless America.
Max (interrupting Mel & Tiny): Wait. Where's Liam?
Rooster: Relax. He's fine
(Max sees Liam playing with Ozone's tail. Ozone purrs contently. Snowball's jaw drops and Chloe shuts it for him.)
Daisy (fearful): Laohu? Where's Laohu?
Rooster (clutching a support beam): You guys know a hawk?
Duke: You're afraid of them?
Rooster: I was almost eaten by one as a puppy. How do you think I got the notch in my left ear?
(Just then, Sergei lands on the ground.)
Max: You have got to be kidding me right now.
Snowball: This day possibly can't get any worse, right? (Sergei glares at the animals.) I stand corrected.
Sergei (pointing at Max): I shall finish you off first then everyone else! (Just then, the entire cast hears the roar of a large vehicle.)
Liam (clapping and singing cheerfully): The wheels on the bus go round and round.
(A bus drives in.)
Sergei: Not again!
(The bus hits Sergei. Using a tray as a blindfold, Max covers Liam's eyes.)
Liam (stops singing): Max, what's going on?
Max: Believe me, Liam. What just happened is far too scary for you to see.
Buddy: Ouch. That's gotta hurt.
Mel: Indeed.
Sergei (wheezing): I think I broke something. (The bus opens. Tattoo, a pig with tattoos, hence his name and Bearded Dragon, a lizard are in the driver's seat.)
Tattoo: Anyone need a lift?
(Pickles and Princess appear from two front row seats)
Pickles & Princess: Hi there!
Pops: What are you guys doing here?
Tiny: I called them for backup!
Snowball: Anyways, yeah, we can use a lift.
(Everyone gets on the bus. Bearded Dragon slams the gas pedal onto the floor and the bus rockets out of the big top. Just as Sergei gets up, the elephant knocks him into the mud.)
