Pops' Apartment (Chloe, Buddy, Mel and Hu enter Stage Right.)
Chloe: You have got to be kidding me!
Buddy: I wish I was, but we don't have anywhere else to put him. (Just then, Pops, an elderly basset hound who is paralyzed in his rear legs enters Stage Left.)
Pops: What is going on here? (Three other puppies follow him. Pickles, an English Bulldog, Tiny, a basset hound that resembles Pops, but has long ears that drag on the ground, and Princess, a gray Poodle who wears a large pink hair bow.)
Pickles: Pops, look who paid us a visit!
Pops: Not happening!
Chloe: We haven't even told you why we're here with him.
Pops: Yes, well. The last time I took care of him, he destroyed my apartment.
Mel: But we have nowhere else to put him.
Chloe (in a very flirtatious tone): Please, Sugar Pie (Everyone gasps)
Pops (gives in): Oh, all right.
Chloe: Thank you.
Pops: No, thank YOU!
Buddy: Chloe, are you OK?
Chloe: I'm never doing that again.
