4 (I like cute things)

"They look so good on you!" Taehyun complimented Huening Kai.

"You think so?" Kai looked at himself in the small mirror hung inside his locker. Specifically, his new red earrings.

"Yes! Should buy new ones too?" Taehyun asks as he feels his ear lobes

"Yeah, I can go with you after school to find some" Kai suggested as he grabbed his books from the locker before slamming it shut.

"Huening Kai you are a life saver" there was a shift of atmosphere and students started racing down the halls in groups. Excitement in their voices.

Taehyun spots Beomgyu in the crowed and pulls the blonde back.

"Beomgyu, whats happening?"

"Yeonjun just challenged a marine to see who could do more pull ups in one minute. If Yeonjun wins then the marine is buying the whole school pizza!"

"And if he loses?" Kai asked

"Then he'll enlist into the marines"

46 pull ups in, he was only two pull ups behind the marine but Yeonjun could feel his arms start giving up.

He was giving it all he could but he was staring to accept that he'll have to enlist into the marines.

Then, a miracle happened.

Beomgyu pulled Him and his friends to the front of the crowed. Yeonjun caught sight of him- of Huening Kai- and he got a sudden rush of adernaline. He didn't want to lose in front of Huening Kai, he wanted to impress him.

So, Yeonjun won. The marine with 54 and Yeonjun 59

"You can make the order pepperoni pizza" Yeonjun cockily said to the marine.

"You sure you don't want to consider?" The marine asked Yeonjun.

"I'm pretty sure, but thanks man, that was fun" they exchanged a hand shake and students quickly surrounded Yeonjun, they were all speaking at once which made it impossible to understand anything- but it's not like Yeonjun was even trying to pay attention. He was looking for Huening Kai, but he had already left to class.

"Where is Huening Kai?" Yeonjun asked Taehyun that day during lunch.

Taehyun was helping Soobin with a math problem- as usual.

"He went to the library to study for the test on Friday" Taehyun tells the boy standing in front of him. Yeonjun doesn't say anything else and starts heading towards the band room.

Huening Kai has in one ear bud while he concentrated on his studying. Chase Atlantic playing through the earbuds.

Yeonjun was in a short trance after he took a seat in front of Huening Kai. He thought red earrings looked ethereal on him. It wasn't until Huening Kai looked up and removed his ear buds that Yeonjun came back to reality.

"Hi?" Kai said, a brow raised.

"Hey! Why aren't you eating lunch?" Yeonjun scoots his chair closer to the table.

"We have a test on Friday so I'm studying" Huening Kai answers, "did you come to study too?"

"No, I don't really study, I just show up and take the test" Yeonjun shrugs nonchalantly.

"And how do you usually score on those tests?" Huening Kai lifts a brow.

"Always the highest grade in class" He smiles wide and cheesy.

"Wow" Kai says but it isn't what Yeonjun is used to. Huening Kai wasn't praising Yeonjun, it sounded as if Huening Kai had nothing else to say.

Yeonjun looks at Kais study area. He had a bright red notebook, bright colored pens and a baby blue binder with rainbow and dinosaur tabs.

"You like these kinds of things?" Yeonjun asks while he touched one of the dinosaur tab.

"What things?" Huening Kai raises a brow. Yeonjun almost calls the tabs girly but he chooses his words carefully.

"Cute things" Huening Kai seems satisfied with the answer.

"Yes I like cute things, especially pastel colors" He smiles sweetly.

"I like cute things too" Yeonjun says in a slight trance.

"Oh yeah? What kind of cute things?"

"Well, cute things like you" Huening Kai laughs a little and starts gathering his things in a hurry.

"I just remembered I have to do something" He quickly and easily gathering his pens into his pencil pouch and his binder and notebook into a neat pile and stands up, holding his binder and notebook close to his chest.

"Do you need help finding where you're going?" Yeonjun asks and stands up too.

"No, it's fine, really, I know my way" Huening Kai leaves the in a haste, leaving Yeonjun to wonder what he did wrong.

Huening Kai pauses in the doorway of the library and debates on turning back around to ask a question that's been burning in his mind, but he shakes his head and continues his leave.
