9 (Whats my favorite color?)

"Why do you look so mad? That girl you were into got something to do with this?" Daniel asks Yeonjun on the ride home from the party. He was the designated driver of the two.

"He's not a girl"

"Ohhh didn't know you swung that way. Well, what happened?" Daniel questions.

"Nothing. I ignored him and he ignored me. It didn't even seem like he cared." Yeonjun says sadly.

"Yikes, what's his name anyways?"

"Huening Kai"

"OH SHIT YOU LIKE KAI? Dude you should have told me!"

"Why?"

"Dude, hes hella confident and if you started ignoring him then it would have put him off. If he wasn't interested before he definitely isn't now!" Yeonjun slams on the brakes, stopping in the middle of the road and putting the car in park.

"DANIEL YOU IDIOT!" Yeonjun slams his forehead down on the car horn, causing it to throw out a long honk.

"Just apologize to him?" Daniel tries to help his friend out.

"And say what?-" Yeonjun says after lifting his head up from the horn "-sorry I ignored you I thought it would make you want me"

"Nooo that would make things worse" Daniel slurs.

"Gee you think?" The blue hair boys says bitterly "He was barley starting to let his guard down and I fucked everything up"

He would just talk to Kai on Monday and act as if nothing happened. Hopefully he could play this off, because for the first time in Yeonjuns life, he didn't know how to fix this.

When Kai gets home he rushes past his brothers who were on the couch watching TV and goes straight to his room. Namjoon and Taehyung both exchange a look.

Kai locks himself inside his bedroom restroom, he turns on the running warm water and starts to rub off his makeup with water. He looks at his reflecting, mascara and eyeshadow running down his face. He even wore makeup tonight, he never does that. He feels pathetic. All this effort for a boy who barley looked at him all night.

He comes out to his room and Taehyung is sitting on his bed.

"Sooo what happened?" Taehyung asks.

"Nothing" Kai grabs a tshirt from the floor- he would be using it to sleep in tonight.

"What do you mean? Did that boy not go?"

"Oh he went alright. He didn't even say a sentence to me. I feel pathetic"

"Kai-"

"I'm tired and I don't want to talk about him anymore, can we forget about this?"

Taehyung nods his head sadly in understanding and stands up. He offers a smile to his brother and leaves.

That night Kai is scrolling through social media. Lots of people posted pictures from Taehyuns party. He's looki through the pictures when he sees some that makes him furious.

A girl kissing Yeonjun on the cheek, his arm around her waist.   Kai rolls his eyes and likes the picture.

"Well, that answer that" He tosses his phone aside and goes to bed.

Monday morning, Kai was at his locker. He was trying to think of what text books he needed for today and once he finally had them he shut his locker. Just like a cliche movie scene, Yeonjun was there.
