Annika's POV
"Annika meet Zeus. god of being my dumbass brother." Hades says and a smile slides onto Zeus's perfectly sculpted face.

"Now now brother. I don't want my sister-in-law to think bad of me." He grabs my hands and Hades sets me down so I'm standing toe to toe with the most powerful god in Olympus.

"What do I owe the pleasure of your presence my brother?" Zeus ask still grasping my hands.

"Well brother Annika here has been developing gifts." He states. Without letting him finish Zeus eyes travel to mine.

"That's wonderful! Is it not brother?" He asks turning back to Hades.

"It would be if they weren't my gifts." His voice seems to have gone down an octave.

"What?" Zeus asks his face turning extremely serious.

"Yeah, first it happened when I went to meet her for the first time. Her eyes turned to gold when she was angry. Then when we were laying in bed last night she read my mi-"

"Wait you guys were in bed together?" Zeus asks a smile on his face once again. I refuse to face Hades and Zeus paid me no mind. My cheeks flamed ferociously and I couldn't help but smile at the events that played out last night. High Hades had to be my all time favorite.

"Zeus." Hades says in a warning tone. Zeus shakes his head and stays quiet.

"She read my mind last night, and you know that is my gift. Lastly she teleported a few minutes before we came here." He finished the list. I looked up at Zeus who indeed was still hanging on to my hands.

"It sounds to me the more you're near each other more she'll absorb from you." He states. I look over at Hades and his eyebrows are scrunched together. I know what he's thinking without even having to enter his mind.

"Hades, did anything like this ever happen with your past relationship?" I ask not wanting to use Persephone name.

"No. Never."

"Well the reason being is she wasn't your true match. Things like this only happen to couples who are destined to be together."

This time I didn't look back at Hades, but I felt the burning of his eyes on the back of my head. Destined? Me and Hades? We've barely known each other for a day for crying out loud! Besides I was only supposed to be here to see if it would work out, right? Wasn't that the plan? I guess fate doesn't go by plans.

"Zeus can we speak in your office for a little while?" Hades asks him. Zeus nods and instructs him to wait for him in his office while he takes me to the library I instantly get giddy at the word. Hades finally lets my hands go but drapes his arm around my shoulder. I don't understand why we must always be in contact with one another.

"So Annika, you and my brother?" He asks. He's walking slow to the library on purpose. This man is easily seven feet tall, and his legs are about the same height as me. He could get to the library, wherever it is, in three steps tops.

"What about us?" I ask already knowing what he's thinking. Persephone left him after all those years of being in love. It wasn't fair and if we really are true lovers then I wouldn't dare treat him in an ill manner as long as he treated me with just as much respect as I gave him. That's all a relationship is to me. The same amount of effort, love, and care. It's a fifty fifty thing.

"I'm going to cut the bullshit Annika. The last time my brother was with someone she left." He stops and I don't wait for him to start up again.

"I have no intent on being another Persephone. Even if I don't feel it completely right now, Hades and I are destined to be together. I don't think I would want to change our destiny even if I could." I finish. It was true. My life on earth was nothing I wanted. I never felt right on the surface. Everything was simply bleh, and I had no friends either. There was no point for me there.
