Yuzuki's POV:

The bright sunlight hit my face, forcing me to open my eyes. I slowly sat up, rubbing my face feeling extra drowsy. Getting out of bed, I was about to change when Shin barged into my bedroom.

"Good morning Imo-chan. Are you ready for todays training?"

I groaned, already hating his presence.

"What are we doing today anyways?"

"Hand to hand combat training."

I flinched, already knowing how sore my muscles were going to be. Whenever I trained with Shin, he always tends to go a bit overboard and Carla has to stop him from actually killing me. I shooed him away with a wave of my hand.

"Fine. Just let me get changed."

He nodded, whistling for Koko who followed him obediently. I changed into a sports bra and some leggings before leaving my room, heading for the mat room. Shin was sitting and playing with Koko, already changed into a tank top and some sweats. His ears picked up my footsteps and he turned my way, standing up.

"Finally-"

"If you make another grandma joke, I will kill you." I growled, feeling extra salty.

He grinned at my threat.

"That is, if you can even land a hit on me."

My eye twitched at the cocky male in front of me. Using this as an opportunity, I used my leg and went low, hitting his legs and knocking him flat onto the mat. A little 'oomph' sound came out of him and I smirked in victory, putting my bare foot against his chest.

"'Never let your guard down.' Isn't that what you taught me on the first day of training?"

He growled, jumping up and I backed away from him, getting into a defensive position. We circled each other, watching the slightest movements of the other persons body. Shin was the first one to attack, aiming for my feet like I had earlier but I jumped, easily dodging it. Spinning mid-air, I used that momentum to try and kick his face in but he grabbed my leg and threw me towards the wall. I grounded my feet into the ground, stopping a centimeter in front of the hard wall. A light layer of sweat had decorated both of our foreheads and we were grinning like maniacs.

"Hmm, you're getting better Imo-chan but I wonder if that's enough to beat your older brother?"

My grin turned wider as an irk mark appeared on my forehead and I teleported in front of him. Feinting a punch to the face, I used my left hand and landed a hard punch on his stomach. He flinched but grabbed my hair, kneeing me into the stomach and my eyes widened as a bit of blood came out of the corner my mouth. I flipped myself and put his head between my legs, using all my strength to flip him as he landed on his back hard. Blood came out of his mouth and I backed away from him, wiping my blood off with the back of my hand.

"Pretty impressive huh Shii-chan?"

He chuckled, slowly getting up.

"Yes, you have definitely improved since the first time we trained. The first day, you couldn't even keep up with me." he said, spitting blood out to the side of him.

"Oh how times have changed."

"How they have."

He charged at me, golden eyes glowing as his nails grew long. I jumped away from him, dodging every attack he had up his sleeve. Using my own nails, I grabbed his face and lifted him up before slamming him into the ground for the third time today.

"My win." I whispered.

The male chuckled and nodded against my hand. I used my magic to put us into a healing cocoon and I sighed in relief, glad that this was over early. I tried walking out the door when Shin's voice stopped me.

"Where do you think you're going?"

I cringed and looked back at the grinning strawberry blonde.

"100 laps around the garden."

My jaw dropped open and I let out a noise of despair.

"Shii-chan, don't do this! I'll give you peanuts."

"As tempting as that sounds, I would rather see you suffering more. Do it or I'll tell Carla that you aren't obeying me."

I growled at his threat before whining and teleporting to the garden. I groaned at how hot it was, the summer sun brutal on my pale skin. I started running around the garden and on my 23rd lap, I started to get winded. I looked around at my surroundings, admiring the white roses I had asked them to grow here so I could be reminded of the Sakamaki mansion. I inhaled the scent of the flowers, instantly feeling a boost of energy.

"AHHHH!" I screamed as my war cry, speeding through the big garden.

By the time I was finished, the sun was already setting. I was laying on the floor, desperate to calm my breaths as my chest moved up and down at a very fast pace. I sat up and started mumbling.

"Even if Shii-chan can do the 100 laps easily, I can't. I may be a first-blood but I'm a delicate girl." I growled, biting my thumbnail.

I suddenly felt a chill, knowing someone was watching me and I whipped my head to a tree that was about 20 feet away from me. There was a clear shadow behind it as the sun illuminated the figure and the aura of this person was not Carla or Shin.

"Come out here coward!" I yelled at the tree, probably looking crazy.

The figure didn't move. I growled, feeling irritated and walked towards the tree, looking behind it only to see nothing there.

"That's weird, I swear there was a shadow." I mumbled.

Shaking off the cold feeling, I ran back inside prepared for my magic training. I walked to the magic room only to see no one in there.

"Huh? Carla-nii? Where are you?" I shouted.

There was no answer and I shrugged, sitting on the floor. Five minutes have passed before I started biting my nails nervously.

"That's strange. Carla-nii is never late."

I got up from the floor and hurried down the halls, heading towards my older brothers room. I slammed the door open, only to see it empty. I scratched my head in frustration about to leave but I noticed the door to the bathroom slightly ajar and light was shining through. I sighed a breath of relief, heading for it and pushing the door open.

"Carla-nii, I was wor-"

I see Carla standing over the sink, hand and mouth covered in blood. His eyes widened when he realized that I had found him and he tried to wash the red liquid off but I stopped him, grabbing the wet hand. I was shaking as I looked at his hand closely before looking up at his golden orbs and asking the question shakily.

"What's going on Carla-nii?"
