Yuzuki's POV:

A certain blonde Sakamaki walked in, not looking the least bit rushed. His face was neutral but as soon as his blue eyes locked on mine, I could see the rage running behind it.

"Riri!"

"Yu-chan..."

"Welcome, heir to the vampire king, first in line to the throne, Nii-san."

"Tch, don't call me that. It's annoying."

Shu began walking towards us but stopped short when I felt someones hot breath against my throat.

"I wouldn't come closer if I were you. I could easily tear out her jugular and kill her right here. You wouldn't want that would you?"

Shu growled but stood still, not wanting to cause any harm towards me. Kino licked my neck teasingly and I shivered in disgust. What I didn't expect was his fangs actually entering my neck but the pain was a wake-up call. I cried out as he began drinking the blood that effortlessly flowed into his mouth. I made eye contact with Shu, who looked extremely conflicted. I felt my eyes well up with tears.

"Riri." I croaked out.

He didn't hesitate to move at my helpless plea, ripping Kino off of me and pulling me towards the door, only to find it locked. I heard laughter from behind me and we both saw my blood dripping from his lips as he licked it, closing his eyes.

"Did you really think I would let you guys escape?"

"You asshole."

"I'll let you know something before you die Shu Sakamaki. The voice that sounded like Yuzuki here that you heard earlier was my ghouls. They had a spell on them that used her desires as a way to lead you here."

"What do you mean?" Shu asked.

"Isn't it weird that you're here by yourself? What I'm trying to say is that you're the one she wants to spend the rest of eternity with."

His blue eyes widened and made contact with my golden ones but I looked away, a light blush on my face.

"Yu-chan," he whispered.

"Ah, but it's so sad since you won't live past today."

Kino appeared in front of us and touched the left side of Shu's chest. A small gasp came from him and my ears picked up a small 'thud, thud', one that wasn't there before.

"What did you do?" I asked, horrified.

"I simply made him human. It'll be easier to kill him this way."

"My heart.....It's beating..."

"Riri, you need to get out of here! I'll do everything in my power to stop him so please!"

He nodded shakily, heading towards the door as fast as his now human legs could take him but Kino didn't let him out the door. He appeared next to Shu, a wide grin on his face as he punched the blonde in the stomach, sending him flying into a nearby wall.

"Riri!"

I ran to his side and there was blood pouring out of a gash on his forehead and he held his stomach in pain. All I remember was seeing red and in the next few minutes, I had deep cuts all over my body and Kino's head was separated from his body. I cried out as I collapsed, face floor into the ground.

"I need....to get to....Riri."

I used my arms, ignoring the burning pain as I pulled my body towards the slumped body of Shu. I sat up, placing his head on my lap. His breathing was shallow and his eyes seemed a bit distant.
