The ride feels long, and I hear the men joke about death. I turn and see one trooper looking around frantically and breathing heavily. I speak to him.
Me: You ok trooper?
???: W-What?
Me: Are you ok trooper?
???: Oh, y-yes sir
Me: What's your name trooper?
Sunshine: CT-3497, but other people call me Sunshine.
Me: Well Sunshine, is this your first engagement?
Sunshine: Yes sir, and hopefully not my last
Me: I'm sure you'll be ok trooper
Sunshine: Th-Thank you sir
I chuckle and look forward. I hear a voice beside me.
Chuck: We sure have come a long way haven't we?
I hear someone answer for me.
Angel: For a few nobody clone troopers-
Me: Yes, yes we have
I see the LZ, it's right in front of LAAT Alpha. I speak into my radio again.
Me: LAAT Alpha deploy!
Alpha: Yes sir!
Me: LAATs Bravo, Charlie, and Delta, circle the LZ!
I see Alpha waver off from the group, and down towards the LZ. I then hear a series of "Yes sir" I felt the LAAT turn as we go around in a circle formation. I switch the channel again.
Me: All troopers in LAAT Alpha as soon as you touch down secure the LZ.
I switch the channel again. I watch as the men secure the area quickly. When all LAATs are facing the LZ I give the order.
Me: LAATs Bravo, Charlie, and Delta wing-tip to wing-tip formation.
They do so and when we are nearing the LZ I give the next order.
Me: All LAATs deploy!
I switch the channel and the LAATs get to the ground, the doors quickly open and we rush out. We secure a perimeter and all troopers unload.
Me: Clone Force Bravo go to channel 1.1. Clone Force Alpha remain on channel 1.0
I switch to channel 1.1, and I give an order.
Me: All units make way towards the AO
I march towards the OBJ. I hear the crunching of leaves beneath my feet, and the crunching of leaves beneath others feet too. I look behind me and I see all of Spirit along with other troopers. Like Sunshine. I hear the breathing of my men, I hear my heart beating. I look forward again. We keep going, and I see them. I see the one hundred men of Clone Force Bravo. I get on the radio again.
Me: Clone Force Bravo spread out.
I see the men spread out, and I hear the very distant sound of metallic footsteps.
Me: Spirit Squad on me
I hear them get closer to me, and I turn around to face them.
Me: Blast get an Ion torpedo ready Incase they have armor, Chuck get some grenades.
They both say "Yes sir" and get what they need. We wait, and wait, and wait some more. Then we hear it. The light hum of a CIS tank. I see it drive in front of us. I look behind me and whisper to Chuck.
Me: Throw a thermal under that tank, and hand me one.
He nods and hands me a thermal. I look at Blast and nod. He crawls up beside me, and aims at the tank. He fires and I throw my thermal under the tank. Chuck does the same. The tank is immobilized and the main gun is damaged.
Me: Clone Force Bravo fire!
I quickly get my DC-15LE and fire into the crowd of droids. I see other clones do the same with their weapons. I look to my side and see Chuck and Blast. On my left is Angel. I continue my fire and I hear screaming. I look to my left to see a random clone with a hole through his hand.
Clone: Ahhh! It burns! Help!
Me: Medic! Medic!
I see a medic rush to us and he picks up the wounded soldier by the arms, and he drags him back. I look to Blast.
Me: Blast, cover those two!
Blast: Yes sir!
I see him quickly get up and go with them. The droid numbers are getting smaller, but so are ours.
Me: Forward!
We all get up and advance towards the retreating droids. My adrenaline is pumping, and I run at a droid. I tackle it to the ground and hit it with the butt of my weapon. I quickly get back up and fire from my hip into the crowd of droids. My weapon overheats and I drop it. I whip out my DC-17s and I run forward. I hear others behind me. I rush to a B1 and I pistol whip it. I quickly turn back around and fire off a few bolts into a droids head. I turn around and see a B2 rocket droid fire in my direction. I try to dive away but I can't. I get thrown away and I fall to the ground. I'm breathing heavily, and my body aches. I have a ringing in my ear. I stand up and look around. I hear the muffled screams of my comrades. I look around to see troopers fallen to the ground getting nailed in the head, and torso. I see a grenade land somewhat close to me. I look on in horror, and it explodes. I get dust, dirt, and blood all over my armor. I look at my feet and I see a clone trooper. He grabs my ankle and asks for help. I can't do anything. He is missing half his fucking torso. I snap out of it and pick up one of my DC-17s. I fire into the crowd again, and I see droids drop. I see red blaster bolts fly around me as I fire. I look around for Angel and I find her and Blast. Blast was hit pretty badly in the shoulder. I rush to them, and I fire to my side as I run. I reach them and I crouch down.
Me: What's his status?
Angel: He's unconscious, and that burn isn't looking good.
I look into the crowd of clone troopers.
Me: Medic! Medic!
Another Medic hears me and rushes over to us.
Medic: What's going on?
Me: Blast was hit
Medic: I'll see what I can do
I look down to Blast and speak.
Me: I'll be back buddy
With that I rush up to keep up with my men. I keep up the fire raising my weapon again. I run to a droid and ram into it with my shoulder. It gets knocked to the ground. I look down on it and lower my weapon towards its head. I fire, and keep going. I'm not going to forget watching my men fall. I hear another tank.
Me: Enemy armor, get to cover!
We fall back into cover and a lot of us didn't make it. I have to take cover behind a large rock, and I can't do anything but watch as a clone helmet lands right in front of my feet. I look over my cover and I see the tank. I yell into the radio after changing the channel.
Me: This is LT-1209 requesting fire support on my location, danger close!
I don't care to hear what they say. I just listen as Y-Wings close in on our location. I hear the whistling of bombs, and then I feel the unbearable heat. After it's all over I look over my cover and I see almost no droids remaining, and I see a burning tank. I look at the yellow bomber as it flys away.
