I see Devil sitting there. I crawl up to him and eventually prop myself up next to him.
Devil: This is why I didn't want to get to know you
Me: I understand
Devil: I just don't want you and Chuck to die
Me: I know...
Devil: Did you talk
Me: Once
He gets a look of anger for a second then one of understanding.
Me: I said "I'll never tell you, fucking clanker"
He gets a look of sympathy and empathy.
Devil: I'm sorry
Me: It's ok
I get up and walk around the cell.
Devil: This is it
I look at him in confusion, and I see a single tear go down his cheek. I remember. Tomorrow I die. This is how it ends. I walk over to Devil and sit beside him.
Devil: The rest of the day you will learn
Me: About what?
Devil: Leadership and basic tactics
Me: Why?
Devil: I told someone something, now-
The next little while was spent learning about how to lead, as a clone I am a fast learner. It is now night. We have been learning all day.
Devil: Last is an easy one. The pincer maneuver.
Me: Sound easy
Devil: it is defined as "A movement by two separate bodies of troops converging on the enemy."
Me: I see
Devil you divide a force into two bodies, then you position them on the left and right flank. When given a signal they will both attack at once, and they will then force the enemy to divide fire, and this take some pressure off of other friendly forces. When this happens it stresses the enemy force, as they are surrounded. This will increase your chances of success even if you have a smaller force than theirs.
Me: Interesting
Devil: Ok, what do you do when pinned down?
Me: Order covering fire and then you or another trooper will run to a building, flank, or high ground. Then you bear down on enemy forces, that forces them to divert fire, and that will make an effect similar to that of the effect of the pincer maneuver.
Devil: Good, now where should you correct a trooper.
Me: You don't call him out in front of everybody, you discreetly pull him aside and correct him in private
The rest of the day went by just like that, and soon I was asleep.
