Your Lordship, this is only going to complex the process, this will only push justice away from women who need it, who were really raped and not just merely touched by their husband."

I was numb, I had my mind rushing with arguments but my heart was numb, not because it was empty but because it was full, full of pain that I didn't deserve, full of pain that my family didn't deserve and full of pain that hundreds of women like me did not deserve. "Does the prosecution has any sur-rebuttal to give?"

"Your Lordship." I breathed enough before standing up, I knew I needed it. I knew I needed a lot of courage maybe for the last time if life wasn't supposed to get any harder.

"In a the world so vast and varied and in a country like India, so diverse and plural feminism doesn't stand for one particular instance or right. For some girls out there, feminism is being acknowledged by their fathers and brothers; for some girls feminism is going to school; for some young girls feminism is wearing what they want to; for some women feminism is what they feel when they drive on their own to their work place; for some women feminism is choosing their life partner or having an opinion of their own. Your Lordship, no definition of feminism is small or trivial, no definition of feminism is any less bold or shallow, it is what it is for a woman or for a man and it should be equally respected because we all come from a scattered  background, with different struggles and feminism in simple terms is choosing what one wants to unless it is harmful for others."
