@Sithara just fake the mood man!!

"Thank you." I smiled at the waiter as he poured some water in my glass. "Ye, that's all I guess."

I took a bite of the white sauce pasta before diverting my attention back to Tejas.

"You are not getting my point, we have elite guests, we gotta maintain the hotel accordingly." He spoke, getting back to the topic.

"So you provide them the luxury inside the hotel, there's no need to snatch the livelihood of poor people." I put forth my argument again.

"I can compensate if you ask me to but otherwise I see no further discussion." He answered.

"Tejas. I expect you to understand. You are young, you are aware, you know they need to run those stalls to survive, it's not for their leisure."

"Sithara, not to sound disrespectful but we face a lot of hygiene issues because of them. Plus speaking very practically, if we clear them out, the hotel will have a view to the forest and that would add to our grades. There's no five-star hotel with a slum near it." He offered me his pizza but I declined.

"It is not a slum." My voice had turned rougher but before I could continue he cut me off.

"The second thing I could do for you is let them be until the hotel is working to it's full capacity, hoping you'd not pray against it." He joked at the end.

"I'm not asking you favours for myslef Mr. Tejas. I'm not talking about what you shouldn't do. You probably do not realise the seriousness of the problem. Moreover, you have no right to expel them from there."

"I surely do not have any right but the government has." He cockily remarked. "I know that much of law."

"That's why I am here. I know you'd use your influence to get rid of them but I request you not to. The government so far hasn't even bothered to know what's happening in their land. It doesn't need it and here, they are earning through it."

I hated pleading before these big shots when all they did was use their power and money to ruin the lives of innocent and underprivileged people.

"Tejas." He wanted me to call him by his name. I calmed down and sweetened my tone. "I didn't want to meet your assistants because I knew they would only talk business and you are the only one who can help."
