Meggy x Tari One-Shot Collection

A Big Decision

Meggy exhaled heavily, preparing for her date with Tari. They were gonna go to a recently closed arcade, and, with permission from Peach, watch the stars on the roof.
But Meggy had more in mind for that night.

"Meggy...this is-a huge-a decision...are you-a sure about this...?" A fat red plumber asks his squid friend.
"Yes I am, Mario, yes I am.." Meggy smiles, putting a black box in her pocket.
Mario sheds a few tears and hugs Meggy tightly, cuddling into her warm embrace. "Im-a so-a proud of you-a.."
Meggy hugs back, silently smiling.

At the arcade, Meggy was walking Tari through "its gorgeous isn't it...?" Meggy whispers, looking at the party themed carpets.
Tari stayed quiet, smiling and looking around. Something wet rolled down her cheek.
Meggy looks at Tari, smiling "fond memories...?"
Tari nods, grabbing Meggy by the wrist and guiding her to one machine.
Meggy watches as Tari wraps herself around her, holding the controls with her.
"Tari...what are you..."
"Don't play dumb with me Meggy...its where our first date was....this was the game we shared, exactly like this...in this spot..." Tari smiles, wiping her tears away and pulling herself away from Meggy.
Meggy held her hand slowly, picking up something on the ground "hey...its one of the quarters we lost..."
Tari chuckles, smiling and cheering up.

Meggy holds Tari's hand, leading her to a stairwell. The two walked up upon it, Meggy guiding Tari through.
Tari walked onto the roof and smiled at how detailed it was made.
The old arcade machines were rearranged into a throne, there were cool looking advertisements hung up for decoration, and best of all, there was lights that had NES style shadows.
Tari slowly sat on the throne with Meggy. "Meggy...this is gorgeous..."
"Its all for you Tari..." Meggy smiles, reaching into her pocket.
Tari looks at the floor, sighing "Hey, Meggy, I just wanna say thanks for tonight. Bringing us back here reminded me of how much you mean to me..."
"And you mean everything to me...and so much more because..." Meggy pauses, slowly pulling the box out.
Meggy silently and slowly got on her knees, Tari very confused. "M-Meggy...?"
Meggy opened the box slowly, showing a ring with an NES controller top made of pure diamond.
"Tari..you've been my everything. The gamer, the lady, and girlfriend I've always asked for. And I only ask of one more thing. Will you marry me?" Meggy asks
Tari gasps, shedding a few tears and crying. "M-Meggy....YES!" She cheers, hugging Meggy tightly and kissing her cheek.
"The wife I've wanted in my grasp..." Meggy whispers, smiling to herself.
