Tari stood by the castle doors, where the crew supposedly always met up. Tari didn't know how late she was, but was getting nervous to walk in. Only when Luke himself showed up did she realize she was on time.
"Hey Tari. Are you ready to be one with the main cast?"
Tari put her signature Rubber Duck against her face, nervously nodding.
Without consent or warning, Luke held Tari's hand and opened the castle doors, dragging her in. Tari looks at all the other actors, Luke taking his hand away from Tari.
The crew looked at Tari confused. After a while of not saying much of anything, Luke chimed in to help her.
"For the past year, me and Luke have been working on this series called Meta Runner. This is Tari, the main character.-"
Luke set a long pause, Tari using it to wave awkwardly at them.
"-She's a little shy, but I assure you she's not a bad person. She loves games and ducks."
Luke just left it off there, starting a conversation with Bob about potential arcs.
Tari just looked at everyone go back to conversation. Except one.
An orange squid girl stood, looking at Tari, with her familiar magenta eyes, and recognizable orange tentacles. Tari could've swore she saw it before, but her 16 year old mind couldn't remember as much as it used to.

Meggy looked into Tari's Purple eyes, frozen with flashbacks of her childhood.
In her memory, there was a young Meggy, who was a blob of ink, but had an inkling structure set up for when she would turn 14. The ground was covered in early morning due, which burned Meggy's feet beneath her. She left footsteps of pure ink as she walked through the unfamiliar forest, unknowingly stepping out of Inkopolis territory.
She had no parental supervision, she had no home. She was a homeless orphan.
Meggy heard a noise, one that sounded like a little young female squid, but...it wasn't gargled like one.
Meggy stood quietly, mouth slightly open, buck tooth out for the world to see.
She watched this blue little girl feed a little white duck. It was cute...
Meggy watched the girl's bouncy hair, and her swaying arms that hid safely under her sleeves.
Oh how Meggy wanted to just curl up in her jacket and cuddle her at night. To have someone to keep warm onto.
But, not all things came true.
The girl then turned around, noticing Meggy. She made her way to Meggy, standing in front of her.
Meggy quickly realized she was not in Inkopolis, but in a completely new area. And standing before her very eyes was a live human. A young impressionable one at that.
Meggy tried to say hello, but the human girl made the first move, touching her nose, or where her nose would be.
They both held that position for quite a bit, until Meggy decided to run off, leaving the blue girl alone near the puddle.
All the way back, all Meggy could think about was the pretty blue girl.
"Tari...put your jacket on, and hair up..." Meggy requested. Everyone looked at her, confused by her request, but Tari complied.
Tari put on her jacket, zipping it up. And pulling out her pacman hairtie and putting what short hair she had into a ponytail.
Meggy's headphones fell around her neck, and her ears lowered.
This was the same girl she saw at the pond.
Meggy didn't know how to react, but multiple flashbacks came to her. All of which were her revisiting this mysterious place, and this little girl enjoying her existence. They would circle each other around, pick flowers, and sit in the trees.
But Meggy never asked for a name, because she never learned English until this job.
Meggy shed a few tears, hugging Tari tightly, her face resting on the cyborg's soft round breasts. They were Meggy's pillow to cry on.
Tari looked surprised, but just rubbed Meggy's head. Tari didn't understand, but if it made the squid happy, why not let her reminisce.
