Meggy x Tari One-Shot Collection

"Please, call me mom" [Part 2]

Saw some of you wanted it. So I figured I'd take a break from SplatFreaks and give you all a treat.

(Your name) wakes up in the morning, the air is clean and the bed is soft. It feels odd, and keeps (his/her) brain occupied for a little bit. It took a few moments before (he/she) remembered about last night. Being taken home by a tall blue haired robotic lady and this short orange tentacled squid girl.  (He/She) was grateful, but was concerned for a moment that the home wasn't permanent. That eventually they would give (him/her) off to an orphanage.
(He/She) gets up and stretches, looking at the doorway that lead to the living room. They started walking out, seeing the two very familiar figures in their normal everyday routine.
Meggy was leaning on Tari, eating her breakfast at a slow pace, while Tari was peacefully eating hers, though at a slightly quicker pace to Meggy.
They were talking however.
"So how about the kid?" Meggy asks.
"What about (him/her)..?" Tari stared back confused.
"What will we do with (him/her). We debated this last night and well..we never really came to a conclusion..." Meggy shrugs.
"Well...I wanted to keep (her/him)....they deserve better and...even if we are young...and gay, its still a healthier family than what (he/she) probably originally had..." Tari sighs "I wouldn't leave a child stranded, Meggy...you wouldn't ignore a lost baby squid would you..?"
Meggy pauses and lowers her ears "I wouldn't but...are we financially stable for a child? I get that it wont cost as much since they're already through the diaper phase, but its still expensive. And maybe (he/she) doesn't even like us! (He/She) probably sees us as weird! Im a squid woman, your a half robot, and were lesbians!"
"Meggy....take this as an opportunity to disprove these fears....prove to the world a pair of gay weird sea robotic creatures can raise a kid, even if the kid isn't technically ours." Tari slowly puts her arms around Meggy "Cmon...its okay to admit your scared of the responsibilities."
Meggy crosses her arms and pouts.
Tari tickles her fingers up Meggy's back, making her laugh. "Cmon Meggy, its okay to admit!"
Meggy laughs uncontrollably "ok! Ok, I'll admit it, just have mercy with those fingers!"
Tari stops and sits back down. Meggy leans up and wipes the tears out of her eyes from it, collecting her breath.
"Well...?" Tari smirks.
Meggy looks at her and sighs loudly "....im scared of being responsible for a human life."
Tari chuckles and hugs Meggy close "all of us are and so were our parents. But the only way to get rid of it is to face it."
Meggy opens her mouth to speak, but closes it slowly. She inhales loudly, finally saying it "we can keep (him/her)."
Tari smiled and hugged Meggy tightly "YAY!"
(Your name) slowly walked in, looking at them with (his/her) innocent little eyes.
Meggy looked at (him/her) and smiled lightly. "I wanna say it, Tari..."
She stands up and walks over to (him/her), kneeling down to (his/her) height. "...hey...(your name)...I know you've likely been stressing about...you know...whether or not you can call us mommy forever..." Meggy looks into the child's eyes, grabbing (his/her) little cheek. "Call this your permanent home..."
(Your name) smiled widely, shedding some tears at the news.
(He/She) was extremely happy to finally have a home with a loving family. Living on streets was tough, and the relief of a solid, and quite comfortable, place to live was a blessing.
(He/She) hugs Meggy tightly. The squid woman hugs (him/her) back. "I promise not to wrong you..."
The child looks at Meggy, and opens (his/her) mouth, finally speaking.
"I know you wouldn't...mommy..."

This one is really short and i left it like that since after that cliffhanger I felt no need to add anything more. So enjoy this very short, wholesome sequel to a very beloved chapter of mine.
