20. P h y s i c a l

The date went according to Sirius' plan; he took her for a nature walk through a small secluded but breathtaking forest he found in 5th year on the other side of Hogsmeade village. There, he took her hand, climbed on a rock and laid beside her just like the night of Remus' transformation. Together they smiled, laughed and spoke of their time at Hogwarts thus far. Sirius held her in his arms the entire night, not wanting it to end. A shooting star shone above them, lighting the starry filled night with even more beauty.

"Sirius! Look look! Isn't it beautiful!" Nora grinned, watching the star move. Laying on his side, beside her, he watched her ecstatic smile light up brighter than the stars above him.

"I am.... its very beautiful." He smirked, chuckling internally to himself at how cheesy that was but he suddenly didn't care. He wasn't used to being this way but it was a sensation that took over him and he had no way of stopping it. For the first time, he didn't want it to stop. Nora turned to look at him, snorted and faked gagged, the pair of them erupting in laughter

"Wrong thing dummy." She squished his lips together before taking his arm, wrapped it over her waist and spooned with him. When their laughter died down, he closed his eyes and took in a deep breath, his nose nuzzled into her jumper. He could have gone full out for their first date, make it spectacular with all the works like any other girl at the school would want but he was proud he stuck to his instincts because despite how casual and relaxed the date was, it was the greatest one he had ever been too and it was something Nora liked more.

To their luck, the pair of them didn't get caught wondering around at night and they weren't the only pairs to be sneaking around; dearest head boy and girl, James and Lily spent a lot of time 'snuggling' in empty cupboards whilst on their Head Duty rounds.

The last week before the Christmas break came around when Sirius and Nora were caught trying to sneak out on another late night date; Naturally Sirius received detention and finally, McGonagall caved and handed one to Nora, throwing all cares for 'setting an example' out of the window. James and Lily were also caught out by a group of 2nd year students whom found them leaving a cupboard looking messy and snitched on them. Together, the four of them had detention the night before going home.

The four of them served detention after dinner, each one of them separated in different corners of the room, cleaning out dirty and smelly cauldrons from Slughorn's class demonstrations that day. Once the door was closed, the four of them stopped and chuckled.

"Nora! Finally in detention?! What did you do?" James asked as he threw a dirty and soggy sponge at Lily, grimacing at having to do muggle cleaning.

"I took Lysander out and we got caught sneaking back in the castle this morning." Sirius snorted, flicking dirty water towards the sheepish and blushing Hufflepuff. She playfully glared, scooping up a handful of water, flinging it straight towards him. Hell broke loose and soon the four of them were drenched in water, chasing each other around and suddenly, the heat rose. James and Lily met eyes, panting from running and slipping around in the empty class room. Striding towards her, he picked the girl up and over his shoulder before sticking his head out of the classroom to check if the coast was clear. He grinned and left, the pair of them giggling.

Nora and Sirius stood alone in the empty class, bodies soaking and eyes hungry to do something. They had been dating for a little over a month and hadn't discussed what stage they were with their relationship, enjoying each moment as it came. Nora had matured as they started to date, urges taking over her and her need to have him closer to her became unbearable. Sirius of course spend most days trying to keep a certain issue from popping up every time he kissed, touch or held her. He also wanted to make it clear to her that he was no-one else's and declare the 3 little words that every adolescent male feared to say. Swallowing hard at the sight of her shirt going see through from the water fight, he stepped closer and together they closed the distance. Nora's hand laced through his hair and the other resting on his chest, her glistening eyes watching as his breathtaking smirk shone brightly.
