She clutched the top of her beret, the wind rippling the black and yellow scarf around her neck, the little flutters of the knitted accessory resembled one of water accenting back and forth. It was the last week of summer and the weather was rather miserable. The flitters of sun poking through the holes in the clouds barely warmed the streets of Diagon Alley as witches and wizards weaved in and out of each other, hurrying along to their needed shop.

Tucking a grouping of long hair behind her ear, she looked around at the excited new Hogwarts students getting their first supplies, the parents smiling proudly at them. Her siblings were darted around Diagon Alley, leaving Nora to look around for new books.

Locating the shop she needed, she pushed the door open to Flourish & Blotts, greeted by almost silence, the smell of crisp new books and gentle sage. Nora proceeded to climb the stairs on the left side, scanning the shelves for the latest Herbology magazine when the bell above the door rang, signalling a new person had entered. The peaceful silence was quickly disrupted by the chaotic chatter of a group of rambunctious boys. Averting her eyes, Nora carried on searching downwards this time, keeping close to the shelves as the boys ran up the creaky wooden stairs.

A large hand caught hold of hers on the backswing of his boisterous jog upwards. Her ample, copious dark green eyes looked at the skin meeting hers, the sudden contact of warmth nipped her pale hand, an unsure and alien feeling.

"Sorry, Darlin!" His voice muttered over his shoulder, his fingertips glided against hers as he pulled away. He was reluctant in his movements as if a string had wrapped around his little finger to pull him back to glance upon the face of whom the hand belonged to. With another second ticking on, he continued to jog upwards, his friends chuckling at him.

Taking a breath, she found her the magazine, a few books near the bottom of the stairs and made her way swiftly to the tills to pay. She bit her lip as she waited in the small queue, questioning mentally to herself who the person was that sent an unusual shiver through her spine.

The bell above the door rang again, the door flying open.

"There you are, Madam!" Her sister Deanna bellowed

"Pipe down woman! I bet they can hear you down the alley." Nora shushed, her sister bouncing towards her to stand behind her in the queue.

"Nora, you've already got your books for this year last week... Let me guess; More herbology books am I right?" Deanna placed her shopping bags down by her feet, looking around the shop with a scrunch in her nose. With a blush, Nora was embarrassed with how unfathomably predictable she was. She grabbed the ends of her long locks, giving a cheeky grin which gave Deanna all the confirmation she needed.

The girls left the shop after Nora had paid, venturing back out to Diagon Alley towards the ice cream shop for a snack and to wait for their other siblings. They sat down, people watching and daydreaming when the same disturbing voices Nora once heard in the shop, suddenly echoed close by to them.

"OI! She's not in that shop!"

"This is ridiculous! Guys, she's probably gone home by now! There is no way we can help Padfoot find a girl he high-fived for a second"

"YE OF LITTLE FAITH MOONY!"

"Enough of the dramatics, Sirius"

"Do you even know me, Remus?!"

The girls heard a huff, followed by the lanky body of Remus Lupin from Gryffindor hovering a few feet down from the table they were sitting at, enjoying their cake. He stopped momentarily, tilting his head as he gazed back and forth between Nora and Deanna. He gave a gentle pressed smile, realising just who Sirius had bumped into. He chuckled to himself that his best friend just had to bump into her out of all the girls at school. Remus shared the same house as their older brother, whom the four boys spent time chatting to in the common room on a daily occurrence and their family was a large subject of talk around the school, not that himself nor the other 3 boys paid much attention to it.

"Try here?" Remus announced, a now coy smile turned into a grin as he gave a gentle wave to the girls. The girls looked at each other confused but none the less looked at Remus, giving a small wave back

"Ah! See Padfoot! It is her. Oh... it's her!" A deep voice announced himself as he ran to Remus, dragging Sirius alone with him. With her head turned towards him, he was greeted by a small doe looking girl, eyes big enough to swallow you in and the sun glistening so perfectly on her, a halo was almost floating above her head.

"Woah, woah woahhhh." A gobsmacked long haired boy spewed out, his voice almost breathy and caught by surprise. His pal beside him who spoke up first pushed up his glasses, laughing hysterically at his best friend's ejaculation of surprised noises. Two more people stood beside Deanna and Nora, arms full of last minute supplies that led Sirius to snap out of his daze, making the connection quickly. He grinned as he continued to look at her unamused face; Nora Lysander, precious little Hufflepuff whom he found joy in teasing from time to time to see if beautiful girls had a sense of humour and weren't focused on just looks. She was, to his pleasure, not just a boring pretty face and rather quick witted. Laughing to himself quietly, he grinned at the prosperity of how entertaining the following year could go.

"You alright fellas! Good summer?" Benjamin bellowed, greeting his fellow Gryffindor's. Nora groaned, unhappy that she was looking at the brat who would tease her for the pleasure of his own amusement and wanted to give him a swift kicking

Nodding and conversing back, they said a quick good bye before heading back up the hill towards the Leaky Cauldron.

"Ironic that it had to be Nora that you grabbed by mistake. Not exactly a bad thing though; she can grab me wherever she wants." James snorted, putting Sirius in a playful headlock. The boys snorted at James' filthy remark.

"No doubt, She's bloody marvellous and a lot of fun to annoy." Sirius rubbed his hands together, plotting his first weeks shenanigans.

"Alriiiight, Now let's focus on something else other than Sirius' sad attempt of keeping his boner down." Remus smirked.

Back down by Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour, Nora was left there sighing and begging at her eldest sister Georgia for some hand sanitiser.
