Millie walked through the school halls, with her head facing towards the ground. Her eyes were shut tightly as she bit her lip.

"Why don't you lose some weight?!" The popular girl, Amber yelled at Millie as she passed by her group. Millie shook her head, reminding herself to not listen to her. But she couldn't help it as she tried sucking in her stomach and her cheeks, even though she was already skin and bone..

"Fatass!" Kyle (the school jock) bickered while laughing, watching the poor innocent girl walk away. Millie blocked out everybody else who was laughing and just walked to her friend's locker, Sadie.

"Hey mills- what's wrong?" Sadie smiled, but it faded once she saw Millie's eyes tear up. "People. Society..." Millie looked down, as she whispered the true words. "What do you mean?" Sadie's eyebrows furrowed and Millie looked back up at her.

"People just don't get how much their words can affect others.." Millie shook her head and Sadie's eyes filled with sympathy while lookin at her best friend.

Millie and Sadie headed to lunch, genuine smiles on their faces as they laughed at their jokes.

Sadie smirked before speaking on after their laughing fit. "So.. you know Caleb right?" She turned to Millie.

"Yeah, Why?" Millie stopped laughing and noticed Sadie's smirk. "I think he's cuteeeee." Sadie blushed and lengthened the 'e' largely. "You should talk to him sades." Millie smiled softly.

"I already have his number, let's hope we start talking." Sadie looked down and after a few seconds, she nudged Millie's shoulder. "Anybody caught your eye?" Sadie laughed, "uh... actually yeah. But I know nothing will ever ever happen.. he is WAY out of my league." Millie started muttering random things.

"Shhhh. Who is it?" Millie stopped and looked at her best friend for a second. "Finn... Wolfhard." She looks down, using her hoodie strings to tighten it around her face. "Aweeeee you guys would be so cuteeeeeee!" Sadie squealed as they finally made it to the cafeteria.

But they didn't know that Finn was behind them, eavesdropping into their conversation accidentally. He smiled softly, knowing what they had just said. He walked into the cafeteria with a smile on his face.

"Mills are you gonna eat?" Sadie looked at Millie, and noticed she was just staring at the table. "I-uh yeah." She looked up and sent a reassuring smile at her friend. "Be right back, I'm gonna use the restroom ." Sadie smiled, getting up and walked to the bathroom.

"Oh. well you shouldn't, you've already gained enough pounds this week." Amber said while holding Kyles hand, walking up to their table. 

"Go away Amber... " Millie mumbled quietly as she looked down. "What was that fatass?" Kyle asked, letting go of ambers hand to get closer to Millie.

"N-nothing..." Millie scooted away from him, feeling uncomfortable. He pulled down her hoodie and she gasped in shock, she felt a wave of fear crash into her harshly.
