Finn sat, indecisive on the dining table. Millie had just rinsed her plate off, and Noah was still shocked about how Kelley asked Finn to the dance.

"I mean if I were you I would say yes, but once again I'm not you, because I'm not in love with Millie or anything." Noah laughed and Finn gave him a death glare. "Noah shut up! Also if you were in love with me that would be the grossest thing to ever exist, you are literally my brother." Millie rolled her eyes and Noah just continued laughing.

"Why don't you guys just go to the dance together? It isn't that difficult." Noah rolled his eyes and Millie and Finn both turned to him, bright red colored their faces. "You know it isn't that difficult to mind your own business?" Millie walked into the living room and sat on the sofa that Noah was sitting at.

"Yeah But it doesn't mean I want to." Noah shrugged and looked at Millie, she turned to him and tucked a piece of hair behind her ear. "Exactly. What if we don't want to?" Millie said and Finn felt his heart ache at her words. Did she actually not want to go with him?

Finn thought for a few more seconds in silence. He really didn't want to go with Kelley, but what if they hit it off and get along? You never know what could happen. Finn hesitantly pulled out his phone from his pocket and unlocked it.

"So Finn, did you make up your mind?" Noah asked and Finn looked up from his phone to him, creating eye contact. "I-I don't know.." he looked back down at his phone and read his contacts.

He saw Kelleys contact and clicked on it, with shaky hands. He read the messages over and over again, contemplating wether or not he should say yes or no.

Millie had been taking short glances at the curly haired boy in front of her, which she was not very sly so Noah obviously noticed. "Millie just stare at him while you're at it." He laughed and he watched Millie's eyes widen, and her cheeks turn bright red. "Noah could you stop being an asshole?" Millie snapped at him and he raised his hands in surrender.

Finn turned red from what was happening around him, and he wondered if Noah was exaggerating like he always was. Who knows at this point? But anyways, he typed out the message to Kelley slowly.

Finn: yeah

He deleted the message.

Finn: sure (:

He shook his head again at the message, what was he supposed to say?

Finn: yeah of course

He left the message, and hesitated before sending it. Why is he saying yes without even wanting to go with her?

He knew exactly why, it's because the girl he wanted to go with won't say yes and he knew it. He didn't want the pain of rejection so he just let himself go with whoever asked him.

Kelley😑: omg! I'm so excited

Finn rolled his eyes and turned off his phone. He understood his horrible decision on why he said yes, maybe just to cope with the pain of knowing that Millie won't go with him. Millie and Noah stared at Finn as he looked down at his phone. "What did you say?" Noah asked him.

"I said yeah.. I mean there's no reason to say no." He shrugged, and Millie felt her heart ache. She wanted what was best for him though, as long as he's happy that's all that matters.
