Not really a warning for anything, except drinking. It's a teenage party blah blah blah.

It's gonna be short so I apologize

~

It was a Saturday, and there was a high school party going on at a students house. And of course, they invited everybody.

Anyways.. Finn, one of the most popular guys at school, sat by the bar. His elbows were propped up on the table and he held his solo cup in his left hand.

"Hey Finn.. do you wanna come dance with me?" A flirtatious voice spoke, as she walked up to Finn, fluttering her eyelashes. "Uh.. not right now Denise." He looked up at the popular girl and fake smiled at her.

"Okay.. hit me up later." She winked and left, Finn rolled his eyes once she was gone in his sight. Finn looked around, glancing at all of the familiar faces.

His eyes stopped on one unfamiliar face though, a girl with short brown hair, and glasses sitting alone. She looked like she was enjoying herself though. She was sipping a drink from her cup, swaying to the music.

Finn was mesmerized by her, he hasn't seen her at school before, why is he noticing her just now? His mouth was slightly opened, and he stood still.

"Earth to Finn?" His best friend Caleb waved his hand in front of his face. "I-uh sorry." Finn knocked out of his trance and widened his eyes.

"Are you deaf or something?" I've been calling you for the past 30 seconds.." Caleb crossed his arms and laughed. Finn shook his head, "hm. No." Finn rolled his eyes and he took a sip of the burning liquid that sat in his cup.

"What? You look like you saw a ghost." Caleb crossed his arms and shifted all his weight on one leg. "Well I saw a really cute girl If that counts." Finn laughed and looked up at Caleb, noticing his eyebrows raise. "Ohhhh Really?" Caleb nudged Finns arm with his elbow.

"You should go talk to her." Caleb suggested, "do you not know that I'm socially awkward?" Finn scrunched his eyebrows together

"Well yeah, but you have to put yourself out there Finn." Caleb tried to encourage him.

"Ugh I'll try."

Finn was still sitting down, and Caleb had left to go chat with his girlfriend, Sadie. It's been about 35 minutes and Finn still couldn't stop looking at that girl. She was just too pretty for him to handle.

Finn sighed while contemplating if he should go talk to her or not. He decided he wanted to, and got up from his seat hesitantly. He walked over to the area she was seated in, and he inhaled sharply.

He finally made it to her, she looked up at his tall figure. She furrowed her eyebrows at the boy, "hi?" The statement came out more like a question, as Finn stood there in embarrassment. "I'm sorry.. I just, i couldn't keep my eyes off you.." Finn said honestly and she blushed.

"how sweet.. uh, I'm Millie." She stuck out her hand, smiling at the curly haired boy. He stuck out his hand too, "Finn." He blushed and just realized what he did, he went up to a girl.

"Cool accent by the way-"Finn really didn't know how to flirt, but he attempted anyways. He truly did find it cool, he didn't normally find people with accents. "Thank you.."

Millie had to admit, he was really cute. He had curly hair, and dark eyes, tons of freckles that laid across his deep cheekbones and over his nose bridge, not to mention his sharp jawline could literally cut somebody.

"Do you go to Hawkins high? I've never seen you before." He cut her thoughts off and sat down slowly, she nodded her head. "Im actually new, my first day was yesterday." She tucked a piece of hair behind her ear and he got excited.

"Oh, cool! Did you enjoy your first day?" He asked, with a smile plastered on his face. "It was alright I guess, I don't really hang out with anybody except my cousin. I'm just here because it's her party." She scoffed with a laugh.

"Oh, have you met any new people tonight?" He tried to brighten up the subject, "not really, I mean besides you. Which i don't mind.." she giggled at the last part, looking down.

Finn laughed softly too, "wanna be friends?"  He suggested with a shrug. "Yes! Of course... I mean, yeah, cool."

They have been chatting for a while now, just about random things.

"Ugh this music is giving me a headache.." Millie grunted, pushing her fingers on the trigger point of pain. "Yeah same.. wait-" Finn got up, "What?" Millie squinted her eyes, "come on, I have an idea." Finn got up and Millie walked behind him in a slower pace, confusion was the only thing she felt right now.

Finn started up the staircase, going into the bigger room leading onto the balcony, "this will be a better place to hang out." Finn glanced around at the piano and sofas that were around the large room.

"The balcony?" Millie questioned. "Yeah, come on." Finn laughed and exited onto the opened balcony doors. Millie walked onto it, looking around at the lights and buildings from the city. "Wow..." She spoke in awe as she took in their beautiful surroundings.

"Yeah, see isn't this much better up here?" Finn asked, turning to her. "Yeah, it is." She turned to him and smiled.

"I'm glad you came up to me, now I don't have to be a loner all the time haha.." Millie chuckled lowly, as Finn let one side of his mouth turn upward.

"Yeah, I won't let that happen." Finn states while leaning up against the balcony border. "You know.. we just met but I'm actually having a lot of fun talking to you." Millie smirked and Finn shrugged.

"Yeah, I'm a lot of fun, it just comes naturally." Millie rolled her eyes playfully. "Accept the compliment idiot." Finn laughed, "yeah. I GuESs it was fun talking to you too." He sounded semi-joking but it was honestly very fun, he didn't feel judged by her. He spoke again,

"I'm glad you caught my eye.."
