Avyanna POV I really didn't want to get out of bed today, but I have no choice because I have to work. I get out of bed and take a shower. I get dressed for today. I'm praying that Liam isn't here. Liam is my "fiancé". My mom told me that I have to marry him. Why? She didn't tell me till I overheard her talking about it to someone. She wants me to marry him to keep the entertainment business flowing. Liam has several connections with different people who are extremely big in the entertainment industry. On top of that he's rich. Not only is he rich, he's so arrogant. It gets on my nerves. He thought with all the money he had that it would win me over. It didn't. We didn't even date or anything. My mom forced it on me. I told her that I didn't want to, but she made do it regardless. Plus, I have to live with Liam. And of course my mom made me. I go downstairs to eat breakfast and Liam is there.
Liam: Good morning, beautiful.
See there are very few days when he's nice to me. If I do what he says and when there are people around us. If I don't do what he says, all hell breaks loose.
Avyanna: Good morning.
He kisses me on my cheek. It doesn't feel like "love" at all. Like how people be when they are in love. This isn't love.
Liam: I asked the maid to make you your favorite breakfast. Avyanna: That's very sweet.
He hands me the plate. I sit down to eat.
Liam: So we got invited to an opening of a bar. It's tonight and we are going. It's good for business. Avyanna: So I have no choice huh? Liam: Yep. Your mother insisted that you have to go with me and she said that it's good for publicity. I agree with her.
Most of the time when we have to go to events is for publicity. I have to fake my way through it. He talks. I just smile and look pretty. I don't say much.
Avyanna: Okay then. Liam: Be ready by 6. I'm heading off to work. See you tonight.
He leaves to work and I'm in the kitchen by myself. Well, not really. Our maid, Pam is still here.

Pam: Is there anything else I can do for you Miss. Emerson? Avyanna: No thank you Pam. I'm gonna head to work now.
She kind of knows about the situation, but she's scared to ask me because she might get fired. Pam is a really sweet person. She has definitely been like a mom to me than my own mother.
Avyanna: I'll be back by 4. Pam: Okay. I'll help you get ready when you come back.
I head to work. You would think I would work at the entertainment business that my family has, but you are wrong. I work as an office manager for one of the best hotels in Manhattan. I love working there so much. I've worked there right after I graduated from college. I've been saving up enough money on my own to build and create my own empire. So far I'm almost there. I have my business plan all set up. Everyone at work is so nice. That's how I met my best friend, Alyssa.
