Avyanna POV It's Saturday and I don't work today. Usually I would be spending the entire day with Alyssa, but looks like I'm not. I have to be with my mom. Today I meet with her along with my wedding planner to look over plans for the wedding, which I clearly have no idea about. So I'm meeting with them at my mom's house this afternoon. I leave the apartment to go do my Saturday morning workout. The gym is just one block away which isn't bad. I get there, I have my AirPods in my ear listening to my playlist. I began to do my stretches. Afterwards, I go on the treadmill.
Dominic POV Every once in a while (like twice a month) I have a day off. I don't really like to have one because I'm so invested in my work, but my parents told me that I have to days to rest up. Today I'm going to the gym to workout. It's a great stress relief and I like to keep my physique looking good. I go to the gym near downtown Manhattan. I heard it was one of the best in the area. Plus, it's far away from the office so I can't think about work as much. I go inside and do my warm ups. When I finished, I look up and I see Avyanna. My day has gotten so much better. I can just look into her beautiful eyes. After my warm up, I go to the treadmills. I hope I can talk to her without causing any trouble.
Avyanna POV As I'm working on the treadmill, I see Dominic. This is and isn't a good thing. I haven't seen him since the opening. The last time I saw him there was trouble going on. I see him walking my way. Without even paying attention to what I'm doing, I ended up falling.
Avyanna: Owww!!
Dominic POV I see that Avyanna fell and I run to help her.
Dominic: Avyanna, are you okay? Avyanna: I think so. Dominic: Are you hurt? Avyanna: I don't think so. Dominic: Let me help you up.
Avyanna POV Dominic helps me up.
Avyanna: Thanks. I really appreciate it. Dominic: You're welcome.
I dust myself off and fix my clothes.
Avyanna: Oh, I'm so sorry about what happened the other night. Dominic: It's okay. Avyanna: My fiancé meant no harm. Dominic: Oh, he's your fiancé? Avyanna: Y-Yes.
I wish I could say no.
Dominic: You sure? Avyanna: It's complicated.
Dominic POV There is definitely more to this. I need to know.
Dominic: Hey, why don't I treat you to some coffee? There's a great place not far from here? Avyanna: Oh no! I can't let you do that. Dominic: Please, I want to. Avyanna: Coffee shouldn't hurt.
So we leave the gym and head around the corner to a coffee shop.
