Avyanna POV
I get to work and I head straight to my office to start working. My face still hurts from Liam hitting me.
Alyssa comes in my office with some files.

Alyssa: Hey girl. Here's some files for today.
Avyanna: Thanks.

Alyssa POV
I see that Avyanna is trying to hide her face.

Alyssa: Anna?
Avyanna: Yeah.
Alyssa: Why are you hiding your face?
Avyanna: What?

I have a pretty good feeling what's up.

Alyssa: Did Liam hit you again?

Avyanna POV
I began to tear up a bit.

Alyssa: He did huh?
Avyanna: Y-yes.
Alyssa: Come here Anna.

I get up and Alyssa hugs me as I cry.

Avyanna: Why do I have to deal with this?
Alyssa: It's okay. There is definitely gonna be a way out of this.
Avyanna: I don't think so.

I go to my desk and sit down.

Alyssa: Why?
Avyanna: Liam is gonna be away on business for a month.
Alyssa: That's good.
Avyanna: No it's not. He has my mom to watch my ass to make sure I don't do anything stupid.
Alyssa: Your mother? I never liked that woman.
Avyanna: You ain't the only person. So it's like I'm not allowed to do anything now.
Alyssa: Here's the deal if either of them do something to you that is abusive, you are gonna live with me.
Avyanna: No!! It's too big of a risk.
Alyssa: So. They don't know where I live and they will have to go through me to get to you m.

Alyssa is that ride or die best friend. She has offered me several times to live with her, but I had to turn it down.

Avyanna: So it's like I have no choice huh?
Alyssa: Nope. And another thing, I don't think that Liam is on a business trip.
Avyanna: What?
Alyssa: I'll make a deal if I give you proof that Liam isn't on this so called business trip then you have to move in with me.
Avyanna: I don't know.
Alyssa: Trust me.
Avyanna: Give me some time to think about it.
Alyssa: Okay.

Alyssa and I began to work. Thinking about what she said is a valid point. If Liam is cheating on me, it really doesn't matter because he never cared about me and I wouldn't feel hurt.
Time flies and I head home. Thank God it's just Pam and I.
Or so I thought.
I walk in and I hear someone talking. I go to the kitchen and it's my mom and Pam.

Amelia: Oh, hello dear

Amelia: Oh, hello dear.
Avyanna: Hi mom. What are you doing here?
Amelia: I decided to come by and see what you are doing.
Avyanna: I...umm—
Amelia: Pam, can you give me a minute alone with Avyanna?
Pam: Yes ma'am.

Pam leaves out of the kitchen and it's just my mom and I. My mom and I aren't on very good terms. Ever since my dad died it's been that way.

Amelia: I found out what you did.

I rolled my eyes. I know that Liam told my mom.

Avyanna: Why do you have to make it into a big deal? Nothing happened.
Amelia: That's not what Liam said.
Avyanna: So you rather believe him than your own daughter?
Amelia: All I'm saying is just do what the man says.
Avyanna: Mom do you even hear what you are saying? You telling to let a man who doesn't even try to care and love tell me how to run my life. On top of that you are okay with him hitting my like this?
Amelia: You must stop doing what you doing to make him angry.
Avyanna: I did nothing.
Amelia: You are marrying him whether you like it or not. You better follow through with this. Now tomorrow we are going a white party over on the Upper East Side. Meet me there. It starts at 5:00. I'll text you the location.

I hate going to these types of events. All they do is talk about all the money they have. It's ridiculous.

Avyanna: Fine.
Amelia: I'll see you tomorrow darling.

My mom leaves and I change clothes and go back to the kitchen. Pam is already in there making something.

Avyanna: You don't have to do that.
Pam: I want to Anna.

Pam is definitely a very sweet person. I just wish she didn't have to work so hard. I hope one day I can do something for her.

Avyanna: ¿Supongo que escuchaste todo lo que se dijo? (I guess you heard everything that was said.)

Oh yeah. I know how to speak Spanish. As well as French, Chinese, and Italian. I was taught at a young age and picked it up very quickly. So Pam is half Spanish and Canadian. Sometimes we have conversations in Spanish so that I can keep my skills fresh.

Pam: Sí, lo hice. Sabes que mereces algo mejor que esta Anna. (Yes I did. You know you deserve better than this Anna.)
Avyanna: ¿Que se supone que haga? He hecho todo lo que mi madre me ha pedido que haga. Parece que si no hago lo que dicen, la prensa se volverá contra ellos y me echará la culpa. (What am I suppose to do? I've done everything my mom has asked me to do. It seems like if I don't do what they say then the press will turn against them and put the blame on me.)

Pam stops what she is doing and holds my hand.

Mantente fiel a quien eres. (Listen to me Anna. You are very beautiful and smart young woman. You are old enough to make your own decisions and live your life the way you want. Do what makes you happy. You are like a daughter I never had. Stay being true to who you are.)

I give Pam a hug. I love having someone like her who is older who understands me.
I eat dinner and head to bed. I just hope that there is some type of way out of this.
