Ch. 16

Avyanna POV
A couple of days later, I wake up to go get my things and take care of business.
Plus, I discussed it with my dad everything and he approved.
Anyway, Alyssa and I go to the apartment. I knock on the door and Pam comes an opens it.

Pam: Anna! It's so good to see you.
Avyanna: You too.
Pam: Where were you? I was worried I sick.
Avyanna: Everything is great. Oh this is my best friend Alyssa. Alyssa this is Pam.
Alyssa: It's nice to meet you.
Pam: Nice to meet you too. I'm so glad Anna has a friend like you.

Pam looks behind us and sees some boxes that we brought.

Pam: Wait, you are leaving?
Avyanna: I am. It's a long story—
Pam: I'm proud of you. Good for you.
Avyanna: Haha. Thanks.
Pam: Let me help you pack.

We go and gather up everything that I have. My clothes, shoes, and a lot of other things. After about a couple of hours, we got everything packed.

Avyanna: That's everything.
Pam: I'm so happy for you Anna. You deserve it.
Avyanna: Thanks. You deserve something too.

I hand her and envelope. She opens it.

Pam: Pam,
You have been a great person to me and you have done so much for me that I want to do something for you in return. I knew the entire time of your financial situation. With the mortgage of your house and everything else. The mortgage on your house is paid for. Your sons will be provided with full scholarships to whatever universities they choose to go to. Let's just say this is an early Christmas present for you from me.

Pam began to cry.

Pam: You didn't.
Avyanna: I did. Plus, I was able to get you a even better job working in interior design since that is something you always wanted to do. So you don't have to work as a maid anymore.

Pam is in such a shock. She just hugs me while she is still crying.

Pam: Thank you. God bless you.
Avyanna: You're welcome. Here's all the information you need and everything. You have my number if you have any questions or problems.

Alyssa and I say bye to Pam and leave the apartment for good.
I'm so glad I'm starting this new chapter in my life on a higher note than ever.

Liam POV
I had to close this deal with Amelia only for the sake of my company. I leave Miami and come back to New York.
I get back to the apartment. I call for Pam and I get no answer. I go and look in the kitchen and I see a couple of notes.

Mr. Harrison,
I've worked for you for the past few years and it was a great opportunity. This past year I wasn't too happy with the actions you did to Avyanna. Avyanna is the most amazing and sweet person in the world. You shouldn't have treat so badly. She came by and got her things is moving on with her life. She has also paid off my mortgage and has given my sons full scholarship to any university they choose. As for me I will no longer be apart of your services. Avyanna was able to offer me another amazing job. Something that I've been wanting do to for years. I hope that you understand. A little piece of advice, even though I know you are told to never go near Avyanna ever I suggest you go and apologize to her. If you don't That is going to be one heavy piece of guilt on your shoulders. This is a chance for you to start anew for your life.

I'm not a crier, but I'm beginning to tear up a bit. I messed up. I did treat Avyanna wrong. Amelia was pushing it so much for me to marry her.
How am I going to fix this?
