Today, I catch a glimmer of energy. I manage to stay awake for hours at a time and have the stomach for a slice of dry toast at breakfast time without throwing the meal back up. The fluorescent light doesn't blind me so much and I request for a nurse to open the window for fresh air- I used to get too cold with it open. I have a regular visitor, but she isn't the boy who saved me. It's some lady who keeps crying when she sees me, I spoke to her today, a simple "good morning". It's not much but it's a start.

A heavy tiredness still weighs me down like a ton of bricks, but slowly it's easing the load off of me as I gain a sliver of strength. The doctors seem pleased with my improvement and want to start me on physio therapy tomorrow. I'm not really sure what it is but judging by their smiles, it must be pretty great!

I hope the boy visits me again, I miss him. He makes everything just that little bit better, my pain more bearable. Why did he leave me? I keep asking the nurses for him but they don't know who I'm talking about. Nobody knows the mystery boy who saved me life that day. I don't even know his name yet.
