"Idiotic blonde," Sasori grumbled. He sat in a chair on the other side of the living room, waiting for his partner to come out of his room. You had heard some of the others speaking about the two of them going on a mission to hunt the one tailed beast. The redhead had been there for a while now, silent but angry, waiting to leave for their mission. But Deidara was no where in sight.

Five minutes passed by before there was any sign of the blonde. Lucky for him, he was ready and the two were able to leave as soon as he had emerged from his room. Sasori dragged him to the entrance of the base, the younger male managing to send me a small wave before he disappeared around the corner.

Now you sat alone in the living room. It wasn't that you cared if anyone was there, but now that Sasori wasn't quietly complaining to himself about his partner, it made it feel a lot quieter than it actually was. Sitting in silence, you lent back in your seat and let out a loud sigh. Now that you were alone, you could fully feel how comfortable the couch was. As soon as you lent back, you could feel yourself sinking deeper into the soft fabric.

Leaning your head back, you closed your eyes and tried to fully embrace it. That night you hadn't gotten much sleep. You hadn't had any nightmares, instead, you would have wonderful dreams about your past with Nagato and spend all night reliving the memories. A small smile graced your lips as the memories resurfaced, the better times covering up any problems you were dealing with.

"You look like you're enjoying yourself," you heard someone snicker, footsteps being heard entering the room. Just by the voice, you knew exactly who it was. Opening your eyes, you were met with the sight of a smug-looking Hidan. He smirked down at you, standing not to far from where you sat. Heaving another sigh, you were pulled from your relaxed state and back to reality. Hidan took a seat opposite you on another couch, leaning back whilst lifting his feet to rest them on the coffee table in front of him.

"Something like that," you responded, trying to remain comfortable despite your dislike of him being here. It wasn't that you hated Hidan, you did know that he was a sinful man but he had done nothing of harm or offense to you. Even his very upfront introduction and intrusive questions weren't enough to earn your dislike. In your books, he was fine. Your problem was the interruption of the perfect silence which allowed you to reminisce on the past events that made you oh so happy. Just the thought of them lifted your mood exponentially.

Hidan chuckled at your answer, holding your gaze as you kept your eyes on him. Just because you didn't dislike him, didn't mean that you trusted him either. He was awfully nosy and even though you were happy to share your stories, you always wondered what he got out of them. Your stories were full of tragedy and pain, yet there were light parts filled with romance and love, things you couldn't relate to Hidan at all. He didn't seem to be the type to like anything like that. All you could guess was that he got a kick out of hearing about your pain, his sadistic side aching to hear more about your struggles. But you felt he was more masochistic, especially with him being a practicing Jashinist.

Hidan continued to stare. Now it was very difficult not to wonder that he wanted. His magenta eyes didn't leave you for a second, making you ponder whether his objective was to try and get you to talk first. But you had nothing to ask nor a topic to bring up. The atmosphere was tense with the question of who would be the first to speak and break the silence. You were thankful that he couldn't hold back his curiosity, being the first to say anything.

"It sure is quiet in here, I'm sure I heard Sasori in here earlier, where'd he go?" Hidan asked, lifting his chin to focus his gaze on the ceiling above. You hummed in response, not wanting to be trapped in the uncomfortable silence again.

"A mission, he was getting pissed off because he had to wait for Deidara," you informed, keeping quiet after finishing. This was only small talk to fill the silence, but you knew that Hidan had more he wanted to say, feeling relieved when he asked another question.

"Do you care if I ask more about you?" he asked, surprising you with him being considerate of your feelings. Shrugging your shoulders, you tried to get more comfortable in your seat.

"Not at all, feel free as ask whatever you want. But before you do, may I ask what makes you so interested in my stories?" you followed up, trying to make a trade of information. Hidan looked surprised by the question you had asked him, taking a moment before he admitted his true intentions.

"I haven't met many Jashinist's at all, you're one of the few I've ever met. I know that you no longer follow Jashin-sama's will but you know a lot about it. As well as that, you're a reader. I've never met a reader before, not even when I lived back in the land of hot water." You watched him carefully, trying to see if you could see any physical signs of him lying. But you were drawing blanks, he seemed genuine about he reasons. Heaving a sigh, you accepted his answer.

"That's fine by me, now feel free to ask me what ever you want," you told him, awaiting another question from him.

"I overheard Konan and Pein talking about something earlier," he said, pausing once he had spoken. He looked up at you, meeting your gaze to show his serious interest in the topic.

"And what did you hear?"

"They mentioned something about you being gone for ten years, I wanted to know where you went."

Where the hell did you go for 10 whole years? You'll find out soon. Also, wanna say sorry for not updating in a while, I've been quite distracted. Thank you for reading.
