Chapter 52

Moon Byul's P.O.V.

"Oppa, are you sure you're not occupied today?"

Min Hyuk puts down his cup and grins again. "Nope, I'm on a hiatus with my members. The company wanted us to have a good rest before coming back with a new album."

"Ah..." I clasped my hands together on my lap, trying hard to think of a way to escape the situation.

"By the way, I heard about SME." Min Hyuk directed his question towards Xiu Min that was looking half hearted to sit with us. "So what's going to happen to you?"

His question made me pause, for it was actually a good question. I turned my head towards Xiu Min, also curious to know.

Xiu Min's lips pressed into a straight line before sighing. "We're still under SME. They're planning on having a different CEO to take over the company. That's what I heard."

"Oh, really?" Min Hyuk raised his brows. "But for now all your activities are halted, right?"

The man sitting beside me nodded, and I licked my dry lips to calm myself down.

It still felt too awkward to have your high school senior having coffee with you and the client of your confidential job. If Min Hyuk ever finds out that I don't really look like this all the time, what would he possible think of me?

"Anyways, how did you two even know each other?" Min Hyuk's next question literally made my brain stop working for a second as I looked at Xiu Min for help. What the heck should I tell him? Oh, Xiu Min is just one of the people I kidnapped for my job?

"I should be asking you that question." I widened my eyes as I turned to see Xiu Min's confident facial expression, looking tough as if he was almost putting a self defence. Well, that's a first.

"How do you know Byeol?" He continued, staring intensely towards Min Hyuk who smiled at the question.

"Aigoo." He chuckled, glancing at me. "We used to be quite famous at school for looking too similar. My friends thought she was my sister at some point, and it was quite the buzz, geuchi, Moon Byul-ah?"

"Er," I stuttered. "Yeah. Uhuh."

"I used to talk to you when our classes use the same field or hall, remember?" He grinned like a puppy, excited. "Back then you used to blush a lot when boys come at you, gosh it was so cute."

His remark felt like a ball was being thrown right towards my face, eventually sending a hint of super embarrassment as I recalled what he meant. I nervously grinned, faking my reaction to cover up how embarrassed I was in front of Xiu Min.

Me being shy in front of boys were a hella long time ago, Xiu Min might not believe a thing Min Hyuk is talking about.

Min Hyuk still shot me this boyish look, and it suddenly reminded me of our old interactions back at school. I could feel my cheeks getting hot to recall how he always wanted to talk to me when we were nearby. Solar even told me once that he might like me, but being the super unconfident person, I didn't take it seriously.

"Hm, if only I had your number when I became a trainee." He pouted, and I just gulped. "You probably could be an idol too, you sure look stunning to me."

Min Hyuk puts a hand below his chin, smiling warmly. I froze, not expecting his very strange behaviour towards me.

I was lost at words when Xiu Min suddenly cleared his throat.

"She sure does look stunning." He said with a faint smile. "Now, I think we really have to go. We have some... things to discuss."

I looked at him with pleading eyes. Oh, thanks for saying it out!
