Thump.
Another thump, and another, and another.
Thump, thump, thump!
"Moon Byul." he said my name again.
I closed my eyes, speechless as heck.
If he's trying to dig up my past, then he should stop before I go nuts again. It has been a long time since I recovered, but that doesn't mean I won't end up like before. And I don't want to go through all that suffering all over again. I've tried so hard to get better. He can't just do this to me just because he's curious.
He can't!
"Stop." I gulped to calm myself down, holding my breath in. "Please, stop."
Silence.
I took a deep breath, my eyes still closed.
"If you want to know more about who I was, then please stop. I can't and will never give you the answer you want to hear."
"Why?" His demanding tone triggered me, and I knew that I couldn't hold it any longer.
"Because it's killing me!" I shrieked, my voice booming in the room. My eyes still tightly shut, because right at that moment, I couldn't think straight. I knew Xiu Min was watching, but it was just not important anymore.
No matter how much I try to cover myself up, I am still Moon Byul Yi.
That careless and stupid girl I will always be.
A tear finally rolled down on my cheek, as I let out a painful gasp.
Moon Byul has lost the fight tonight.
"I'm sorry."
His voice was gentle. Gentle enough to make me ask myself, how did he managed to make you cry? How did he made you lose control when he didn't even do anything than talk to you?
I fluttered my moist eyelashes, letting more tears to escape as I directed my eyes to the boy. Adrenaline rushed in my veins like never before as I looked into his eyes.
This time, his gaze was more different, more... warm.
"I should go." I looked away, trying hard to fake my emotions and left the room without another word.
I'm sorry, Xiu Min. You weren't supposed to be curious about me, you're just a client and I am working for you. Please, just don't ask me again. No matter how curious you are, no matter how much it bothers you, please, forget it ever happened.
My past is frozen six years ago, and I don't want to break it anymore. I'll just keep it hard, as hard as ice. And I won't let someone like you, who doesn't even know me much, melt that ice.

The next morning, I woke up early. Since I have my own spare of clothes in Solar's house, I change into a pair of black pants and blue hoodie jacket as soon as I finished washing up. I ruffled my bangs, followed by the hair on the back of my head, gently putting them into place. I paused as I watched my bangs fall back onto my face through the mirror.
It's growing longer. My hair. Currently it has reached lower than my neck. I shook my head as I look at myself in the mirror. Yikes, I need a haircut soon.
"Byul, your hair is getting longer. Do you want a haircut?"
"But my hair is what makes me a girl, grandma!"
"Very well, I also think you look better like this."
Diririt, diririt!
I snapped back to reality as soon as my phone rang. It was Luhan. It took me a few seconds to clear my mind again before answering it.
