"Hm..."

"Moonbyul?"

My eyelids fluttered open when I heard the soft calling of my name. I hardly could see anything before a few quick blinks, and the first thing I saw got me startled indeed.

"What the hell are you doing looking at me like that, Kim Min Seok?" I managed to spit out the words in one go. My throat felt so sore and dry and it was hard to make my usual sarcastic tone.

Xiu Min immediately gave me this weird look and rubbed the back of his neck as he looked away. "Ergh, I'm sorry? I was worried, well- since you passed out so suddenly last night. I thought I killed you for a moment there."

I slowly grasped the blanket that was covering my whole body and gave it a shove to the side as I carefully sat straight on the bed. It was Xiu Min's bed, in his room where I passed out. Well, I must have passed out, of course. It does happen, sometimes. And it is not such a nice scene to be seen by my client.

"Ugh." I couldn't help but to cover my face with my hands and sigh.

"Are you okay? I'm sorry."

"Last night, never happened." I muttered. "Okay?"

Xiu Min's forehead became all wrinkly as I gave him my firm look.

"I mean it, Kim Min Seok."

He stared at me for a while, giving me his peculiar gaze, like he's digging through my eyes to see what was in my mind. Well, not going to happen boy.

At last, he nodded with no words spoken.

I gave a quick nod and got off the bed, finding myself quite hard to balance on my feet. Shockingly, Xiu Min gripped on one of my arms, supporting me to stand right. I hurriedly made distance with him, knowing it can turn the situation worse if he touched me long enough. I ignored his long stare and made my way towards the door. Oh gosh, what happened to me? What time is it anyway? My reports! Oh, I'm so far from completing them!

You know what? Moonbyul is 100% screwed up.

"Wait a sec!"

My hand stopped turning the doorknob. I turned back to Xiu Min.

He gave me a long stare. I stood still, waiting for him to talk.

"I know you're not a boy. And... I'll keep your secret safe with me. You can trust me on that."

Our eyes met for a few seconds, and even though it wasn't a topic I would like to discuss, the tone Xiu Min used and the way he looked at me made me feel safer. Hard to believe, but strangely, it did.

I gave him a half-smile and half-smirk face before stepping out from the room.

"Thank you."

It has been four days since Xiu Min became my client, and there were still two days for me to wait until my car is fully repaired. Since it's taking longer than usual, I bet Sandeul is adding his cool inventions on my dear precious. Well, I'd kill him if he didn't.

My reports? I'm glad to say that I have one final report to go!

Come on, this is Moon Byul Yi. Captain of the battle team. Wait, have I told you that before? No? Never mind.

"Hey, dude. How about a quick training here before you go back?" Eric tried to convince me to join the battle training for agents through the phone. The training was a weekly schedule for us when we're not receiving any clients.
