She came here with me.

Chapter 8

"Get up Clove, today is going to be a big big day!" Pearl says from outside my door. Her voice is honestly so annoying but whatever.

Today will be the first day of training. I am kinda excited about training but I have a feeling that Glimmer will be all over Cato. 

I get dressed in the Capitol training wear they put in my room. 

I brush my teeth and hair then head to breakfast.

A waffle, with fruit and vegetables.

"Goodmorning dear, sit down!" Pearl says.

Steph walks over to me and starts doing my hair. I sit down and start eating.

Cato then walks in.

"Goodmorning Cato, start eating right now or you'll be late!" Pearl says.

Cato sits down beside and starts eating. I'm already done my breakfast.

"So what's the plan for today?" I ask.

"Today at training team up with district one, and the girl from 4. Intimidate the other tributes. Get them scared of you." Enobaria said.

"If you have to, chuck a knife or sword at them,"  Brutus said.

"Brutus you know they can't do that!" Enobaria said.

"I don't care." He said.

Once Cato was done eating, Enobaria took us down to the training center. 

We were a bit early but District one was there already. Enobaria went up to their mentors. A brother and sister. Cashmere and Gloss.  They won back to back games. 

Glimmer and Marvel come up to us. Already I hate Glimmer. 

"Hey Cato," She said all flirty. 

"Hi," He said. 

I rolled my eyes. 

Then Marvel whispered to me, "don't worry I hate her as well." 

Now I have more respect for Marvel. 

Glimmer then takes Cato's hand and walks over to the archery. 

"Marvel, Clove, you're coming as well," Glimmer said.

I rolled my eyes again and followed after them. We still have 5 minutes before we are going to be given a little speech about the training center from one of the trainers. 

"I'm at the best at archery, and Cato, you're going to watch me later," Glimmer said.

I rolled my eyes and walked away as fast as possible. I spot Azora over at the front, I go over to her. I'm going to start to convince her to join us.

"Hey, you must be Azora," I said.

"Yeah, you are Clove right?" She said.

"Yeah, do you want to be allied with me, Marvel, Cato and I guess Glimmer?" I asked.

"Sure, but please say my district partner Sebastian won't be with us," She said.

"Yeah, don't worry we don't want him," I said.

"Great, he's very annoying," Azora said.

"Okay, come with me," I said.

I took Azora over to Marvel, Cato and the stupid dumb blond. 

"Guys, meet Azora, she's from District 4, she'll be teaming up with us, if that's okay with you guys?" I said.

"I'm good with that, what are you good at?" Marvel asks.

"Spears, tridents, knowing which plants to eat or not and that basically it," Azora said.

"Great we work on spears together," Marvel said.

"Cato, you'll be my archery partner okay?" Glimmer said.

"Glim, I'm sorry I need to practice with my swoards and spears but I could be your archery partner when I'm done." Cato said.

My heart sinks, of course he likes Glimmer. Plus he call her 'Glim'. 

"Who will work with Clove?" Azora asked.

"Oh, I'm sorry Clove, you're going to have to work all alone." Glimmer said, while smiling at Cato.

This makes me so pissed off, I lose it.

"You know what Glimmer, go piss off, leave me alone." I said. 

Finally one of the trainers calls us over so she can talk to all of us. I didn't listen to her. I just want to put a knife in Glimmer's ugly face. 

After about 2 minutes she allowd us to go train wherever. I went over to the knives. I'm so mad at Glimmer and including Cato. If he was really my friend he would've stood up to her. I throw 3 knives. The whole gym is silent when I'm done. I look around to see everyone watching me. I look back, all 3 knives were dead centre. I see Cato giving me a small smile. I looked down and contunied with my training. 

After probably an hour we get called to lunch. For lunch we have sandwiches.

I sit over by my alliance. Glimmer is over course all flirty with Cato. But thanfully he isn't paying any attention to her. I would be so mad if he started dating her. Marvel and Azora talk about spears. I feel so left out right now. I look over at the little tables. I spot little Rue. I excuse myself to go to the washroom. I tap Rue on the shoulder and said for her to come with me for a second. Suprisingly she comes.

When we enter the washroom, she looks a bit nervous. 

"Don't worry, I'm not going to hurt you." I said. 

She relaxes for a bit.

"Listen, when we entre the arena, I'm not going to kill you. Your too young and sweet to die. I'd rather you win over me. I'll try to make it happen. Please don't tell anyone what I said to you okay?" I said.

"Okay, thank you." She says sweetly. Maybe we can trade Glimmer for Rue. 

I go outside of the washroom and sit down at my lunch table again.

"So Cato, who are you going to kill first?" Glimmer asked.

"Well, I would maybe try to go for Rue first." He said.

No! He can't do that. I'll talk to him later again. I won't let him kill Rue. 

Then, we get called to training again.
