She came here with me.

Chapter 17

So today is day four. A new day and a new beginning. Glimmer and I are now friends. Cato and I are good. Marvel and Azora are happy. Today will be a good day and I can just feel it already. I wonder how Steph is doing. I miss her so much right now. I just want to go home but I know I will have to earn my way home.

We were just walking literally doing nothing until we come upon a fire. 

"RUN" Cato screams.

And we ran so fast. Good thing we are all fast runners.

I ran until we were good and guess what happens.

We see fire girl in the lake. I think she got burned a bit by the fire.

Marvel screams, "Look there she is, there she is!" 

We all bolted but I have to say she is a really good runner.  She can sure run.

We eventually do catch up to her. Peeta is all the way behind us but still running as fast as Glimmer.

We see Katniss climbing a tree. What help wiyll that do?

"I'm going to kill you!" Cato screams.

"We've got her" Marvel says.

"That's not going to help you up their Katniss!" Glimmer cries.

"Where are you going?"I scream.

"Kill her!" Azora says.

Peeta doesn't say anything. He is just looking up at Katniss with a very worried look on his face.

"Any last words to your girl?" Azora says.

He completely ignores her and is still looking up at fire girl.

Cato grabs one of his many swords and starts to climb up the tree that Katniss is on. You can see a very worried look on her face.

"I'm coming for you!" Cato says while climbing the tree.

We are all cheering Cato on.

"Kill her Cato!" I scream 

Marvel,Azora and Glimmer do the same. 

He misses a step and falls.

I rush over to him.

"Are you okay?" I ask very worried. I'm sure he hurt himself.

"I'm okay Clove." He says smiling at me. At least I know he's okay. I was very worried about him. 

Glimmer shots her arrow but misses.

Cato rips it out of her hands and shoots at girl fire. Misses.

I roll my eyes. 

"Maybe you should throw the sword!" Katniss screams.

I look at Cato, and he is mad.

"Why don't we just wait her out?" Peeta says and we all whip around to him confused.

"She's got to get off some point, just kill her then." He says.

I look and Cato and he looks back at all of us not knowing what to say. I give him a look and he finally says, "Okay, somebody make a fire."

Azora and Marvel start on the fire while I hunt for dinner.

I come back to camp with dead birds for us to eat and I see Glimmer trying to kiss Cato. Did she just say all of that stuff and didn't mean it? Of course she did. I shouldn't have trusted her. I am so dumb.

Cato isn't even fighting her off and eventually her lips get to him and she does kiss him. I burst out in tears. I should've known. He is really just using me. I come back and make a purpose cough. They both look surprised when they see me and I give both of them the look.

"Clove it isn't what it seems!" Cato says.

"Of course not, you never cared about me!" I scream.

I run off into the woods. I am so dumb why did I ever think he loved or cared about me?

He comes running after me. 

"Leave me alone Cato!" I say.

"Clove it isn't what it looked like." He says.

I burst out in tears. I've been screwed over.

"Clove, she said to me if I didn't kiss her she would kill you in your sleep tonight!" He says.

I look up at him. "And how am I supposed to believe that?" I say

Well Cato is a pretty bad liar, you just need to look him in his eyes and if he smiles or laughs then he is lying, and he isn't. 

He comes down to me and hugs me. 

"I'm so sorry Clove, I just needed to protect you." He says and kisses me.

And I enjoyed it. I love him so much.

We head back to camp, but there is a sponsor. I run and grab it. 

We open it and there is some food for us and there is a note inside of it saying,

"He was telling the truth - Enobaria" 

I smile at him and hug him. 

We are back at camp and eat and get ready for bed. Cato is taking watch especially after what Glimmer said. But tomorrow is a new day. Day 5.

I fall asleep in Cato's arms. And I know I am safe.
