Chapter 9

I go over to Cato and Marvel. They are laughing at something. Then I look over to where Marvel was pointing. There was Peeta Mellark trying to climb this rope ladder. Of course he was failing miserably. We laughed at him for a while. Azora and Glimmer come over, and start laughing.

His district partner goes up to him and whispers something in his ear. He goes over to the weights and throws one at the spears. He is actually really good. That is really surprising. 

After that, I walk away. We have an hour left and I would like to use that hour to my advantage. I look over and see Glimmer trying to kiss Cato. But thankfully Cato doesn't let it happen. What happened to the Cato in District 2? The one who said he hated Olivia. Glimmer is just another Olivia. 

I go over to the knives again and start throwing. No one is going to let me mess up. Not a stupid dumb blond girl who is trying to hard. 

After training we head back up to our rooms. I can't let Cato kill Rue.

"Cato, can I talk to you for a second?" I asked.

"Yeah, what's up," He said.

"Please tell me, your not going to kill Rue," I say.

"I can't promise," he said.

To be honest I'm very disappointed in Cato. 

"What if you and Glimmer have kids?" I say.

"We aren't in love!" He said.

"Stop lying, the way she looks at you and the way you look at her!" I said.

"I don't like her!" Cato yelled.

"Stop lying!" I yell back.

"I like someone else!" He yelled back.

"Then who! Prove it isn't Glimmer!" He said.

"I can't tell you yet, they might not like it!" He said.

"It's Glimmer," I said.

"It's not! I swear on my life," He yelled.

"Whatever you say," I said. 

He rolled his eyes at me and headed off to dinner. I waited a minute so I wouldn't walk with him. 

We ate dinner in silence. After I go back to my room. I get ready for bed. 

I sit by the window in my room. I'm so mad at Cato right now. He probably is as well. But I don't really care. Finally it was time I get good rest. I head over to my bed and fall asleep.
