Third POV

Elizabeth was discharged as the car ride home was silent.

Nobody said a word as they all went upstairs heading to bed.

For the next two days, Elizabeth couldn't eat, sleep or pratically do anything without Meliodas besides her.

It really hurt, she tried her best and all for what? Just to find out that her baby is dead?

But after these two days she bounced back, why? Cause she realized she already had two children in her home, whom loved her dearly.

Meliodas on the other didn't bounce back like she did, he was angry, confused and sad.

What was the point of being a mafia boss if you couldn't protect your wife or your child?

He sat at his desk, unconcioudly filling out forms and other documents as he usually did, but he was in a state of mind where nothing even mattered, at a point where it didn't matter if this mafia crumbled down to nothing but filth.

Then the intercom went on.

"Captain, Elizabeth is heading up to see you."

"Alright thanks Diane."

He looked at the door, to which Elizabeth had just arrived from.

" so... whatcha workin' on?" Elizabeth asked quietly.

" does it even matter..?" Meliodas replied in a bored tone, placing down his pen.

" anyways... I uh got something from Merlin, she said that the chances would've been that we could've had a daughter..." Elizabeth added.

"Elizabeth I love you but please don't, I just wanna reminisce in my failure." Melidoas groaned putting his head down.

Everything was bottled up from wha Elizabeth could see, she she walked over to him, lifting his head and let it rest on her chest.

The next thing she knew she felt the top of her dress get wet.

"What's the point of me being a top mafia leader if I can't even save my wife or my kid?!"

"I just should've been there sooner.."

She heard him sniffle, this was the first time she actually saw Meliodas crying.

" Meliodas, it's ok, I can't get over what happened either... I'm supposed to be a mother yet I make stupid decisions which in the end lead up to me being the cause of the death, so I've caused it all if I wasn't so naive. I tried to put on a happy act but no avail."

Elizabeth had a tear rolled down her face.

Meliodas looked up at her. "I'm failure as a leader and as father."

Elizabeth paused.

" that's not true, if you were a failure this place would've been down the down the drain a long time ago, and failed as a father is wrong too, in case you haven't realized it you already have two children who were putting their lives out there just to save someone.. isn't that what you would've done?" Elizabeth spoke

Meliodas only slightly nodded.

" so... that's why I've came up with this, though we did lose a possible member I'm not gonna stop here I'm gonna keep moving forward, after all we still have things to do for ourselves and our kids, so do you promise me?" Elizabeth questioned.

She held out her pinky finger.

He stared for a while before wrapping his pinky around hers.
