Third POV
The rest of that night was quiet, after all ace had decided to lock himself up in his bedroom refusing to eat dinner.

While cassie on the other hand stayed up in her room too frustrated with her brother.

.
"Can you believe the nerve of her?" Ace scoffed.

He was currently video chatting with Harley.

"Yes, yes I can, this is cassie we are talking about, besides if you really think about that was a pretty smart move if you ask-" harley spoke before getting interrupted.

" woah, woah, woah hold on, who's side are you on? Just cause you are dating my sister doesn't mean that you are gonna abandon my side like that." Ace frowned.

"I'm not chooisng her side, but I'm not choosing yours either because it'll just be awkward, I'm your best friend and she is my girlfriend so...." Harley shrugged.

" wow, you really are gonna do this to me huh, well then in that case hope that she's a good enough replacement for me, bye." Ace waved before cutting the call.

He puffed angrily, it seemed like everyone was choosing her side, including his best friend.

(Knock Knock)

"The door isn't locked!" Ace called

And I'm came Elizabeth.

"Hey honey, I brought you some food and ice cream to cheer you up a bit." Elizabeth smiled

"Ace looked at her then looked down.

"Don't bother with trying to cheer me up."

Elizabeth gave him a knowing look.

" cmon, tell me what's really wrong besides you and your sister never really get that mad at one another."

She sat beside him as he fell face first into her chest.

"Mommy it's not fair, I've been wanting to take over for the longest and Cassie comes along and ruins my chance and all for what? A cheap and measly tactic that any dad could fall for." Ace uttered his face still buried.

" oh honey, I'm sorry I really would like help you but you know how your father gets..." Elizabeth replied.

Ace sat upright staring at his mom.

"Mom... do you ever get tired of always listening to dad- like you have no say in things." Ace questioned.

Elizabeth grinned " no not at all, because most of the time he's right, but don't think I have no say in things because I do, some of which could've affected you guys to the core."

Ace only paused, what more was there to say?

" alright.. well I'm gonna way and go on with the rest of my life as usual, thanks mom."

Elizabeth only nodded, as she then left.

The next morning~

It was now time for school, as Ace had just finished dressing up and went downstairs to eat.

Where he found his mom, dad and of course Cassie.

" morning sweetie." Elizabeth greeted as she went to go get the syrup.

Ace only waved.

He then took a seat by the kitchen island and began to eat.

Just then Cassie had gotten out of her seat and walked towards him.

"Ace."

Ace didn't respond, he just focused on his food.

"ACE!" Cassie raises her voice, as she poked him.

"What do you want from me?!" Ace replied harshly.

Cassie looked down, then back at him " sorry, for yesterday."

Ace rolled his eyes.
At Th is point in time her apology meant nothing to him.

"What is your problem? I'm trying to let bygones be bygones and move past this but you don't want to!" Cassie argues.

" I don't have a problem, Cassandra, it's you, I'm obviously trying to stay calm yet you keep pushing my buttons." Ace answered

"Oh spare me that, and it's Cassie, always has been." Cassie retorted.

At this point ace had enough.

" leave me alone, oh and go check your birth certificate then come back and tell me I'm wrong."
Elizabeth looked over at Meliodas giving him the hint to talk to his son.

And that was it he had just about exited the kitchen before Meliodas stopped him.

"Hold on a moment, you seemed to be mad yet you don't have any reason to be."

Ace turned back " how would you know that, of course I have a reason imagine wanting something for the longest then when the door of opportunity is there it shuts right in your face and there isn't a good reason for that!"

"Ace."

Ace rolled his eyes for the second time that morning.

" I already know what you are gonna say I'm being unreasonable, but let's face it, it's something we've all know, Cassie is your favorite kid, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out go ahead and correct me if I'm wrong."

Everyone's eyes but ace's widened.

Nothing out of anyone's mouth.

Ace chuckled before rolling his neck.

"That's exactly what I thought."

Elizabeth was the first to recover from the shock as she ran after him.
