Third POV

Her eyes blurred as tears started to form.

Soon droplets felt on her phone that still had the picture clear as day.

"How could he..?"
"I trusted him!"

Cassie then got up and ran upstairs to her room, where she closed  and locked her door, then she had a really good cry.

She bursted out into full on tears.

It hurt, it hurt so bad.

"Harley..how could you...?" Cassie muttered out in tears.

Though it was no surprise as to why she felt this way.

It's cause she realized it, what she should've noticed a long time ago.

She was in love with him.

"*sniff sniff* Harley..."

Her tears in the end helped her to fall asleep quickly though she sulked here and there.

Sunday~

It was 8:00 am when Cassie woke up.

She was still in her "date" outfit so she changed into her pjs, she didn't feel like going downstairs so she spent her time upstairs in her bedroom.

It was alright, she had a bathroom and a slightly stocked mini fridge.

She turned on her bedroom tv, and began to different shows, just anything to get her mind off of the whole ordeal.

*knock knock*

Cassie got up and opened her door, it was her Meliodas.

" good morning, how'd you sleep?"Meliodas questioned

Cassie shrugged.

" alright we'll I'm heading to work now, so bye sweetheart." Meliodas spoke as he kissed his daughter's forehead.

"Bye daddy." Cassie waved, as meliodas then left.

She was secretly glad that Meliodas didn't ask why she looked the way she did after all her eyes were slightly puffy, and her nose was kinda red cause she'd been sniffling too much.

But no matter, after all he probably would've done something that they all would've regretted.

Her phone then dinged seeing that it was violet who texted her.

"BEST FRAND, YOU BETTER CALL ME RIGHT NOW!"

What could she be going on about now?

(Y'all already know the drill)

C: hey.
V: GIRL, you wouldn't believe it!
C: what?
V: well I'm at the mall with Harley and-
C: I'm going to stop you right there, what the heck are you doing at the mall with your brother you hate going together
V: I was forced to- but anyways like I was say guess who I see!
C: who?
V: the new girl McKayla with Eric!
C: WHAT? Does Harley know?!
V: no, but what does he have to do with this?
C: go to his insta right now, he was with McKayla yesterday, in fact.. he kinda stood me up for her...
V: what..? Best friend I'm so-
C: it doesn't matter anymore, my heart can't be broken more as it is now.
V: Huh? Wait a minute, Cassie were you..
C: Uh Huh, that's right I fell in love with Harley but it's too late he stood me up and for all I know he's probably in love with her.
V: I'm going to give that BLUNDERING BUFFOON a piece of my-
C: Don't. It's fine he made his choice and I'll just have to accept it, now I have to have  eat ice cream and sulk in bed, see you Monday.
V: alright, call me if you need anything, Kay'?
C: *giggle* alright, bye best friend.
End of call.

" oh Harley, I hope you know what you're doing..."

Monday~
Oh how the days go by so fast, as the dreaded Monday had arrived.

Cassie wasn't looking forward to it but she had. No reason to miss a day besides she really wanted to avoid Harley for her sake, otherwise she'd bust out crying.

She buttoned up the 3rd button on her jacket, as she then went downstairs where they were all waiting.

"Hey sweetie, I haven't seen you since yesterday, how have you been?" Elizabeth spoke, looking at her daughter.

"I've been perfectly fine, Ace finish eating so we can go, oh and mom could you buy some more snacks so I can refill my mini fridge?" Cassie spoke.

" sure and both of you, your father and I won't be coming home til' tomorrow morning, as well as everyone else's parents so, they'll be staying over here." Elizabeth added

"What? No, mom please can't everyone stay at their place?" Cassie declines.

"Sorry hun, Aiden can't be home alone after he blew up his lab and created a hole in the roof, and we both know why I can't leave ace home alone." Elizabeth shook her head.

"Sigh, fine, let's go ace." Cassie groaned as they then headed to the lino waiting outside.

"Hey Violet." Cassie waved.

"Hey cass, I'm so excited we'll be having a sleepover!" Violet cheered.

"Yeah I guess." Cassie shrugged.

"You guess, cmon you are always one for sleepovers so why the long face now?" Harley spoke.

Cassie stared at him then turned away to face the window.

"Ouch, silent treatment my dude." Ace laughed

Harley glared, he'd ask her what the matter was later on then smooth sailing, right?

Wrong.

It was lunchtime when Harley stopped Cassie in the halls.

"Cassie! Wait! What did I ever do?" Harley questioned grabbing onto her arm.

" you really are gonna act like you don't know?" Cassie questioned a bit Harshly.

"Yes, come on tell me, your supposed to be my left hand girl so-" Harley spoke trying to pull her into a hug before she interrupted.

"Left hand girl, seriously, Harley you made yourself VERY clear that i wasn't worth your time to even text or call me that you were gonna hang out the entire Saturday with McKayla so please if you have time to stand me up then you have time to hang out with your New left hand girl." Cassie retorted angrily as she then brushed passed him.

Harley paused, as he widened his eyes in realization.

He had been leaving his "supposed" crush all alone up to the point where he had stood her up when they were supposed to go to the ice cream parlor.

"Aw man, I screwed up..." Harley muttered outloud.
