Third POV

The car ride to school was so silent you could hear a pin drop.

After all Ace would usually be the one initiating the conversations.
.
.
.
"Dude, seriously needs to give it up." Harley spoke, tapping on ace's shoulder.

Ace then turned around to face Harley.

"Yknow I find it kinda funny how you guys don't have the same energy when not to long ago Cassie put up a huge fit and no one said anything, yet when I do it I'm doing the most, please just stop." Ace answered.

Leaving Harley speechless.

Ace turned the corner, only to bump into the one and only Catherine.

"What the heck- oh it's you again." Catherine scoffed.

Ace raised his brow. "Nice to see you too, bye now."

That was quick, almost too quick where Catherine actually stopped him.

"Hey Wait a moment, whats wrong with you?" Catherine blurted.

" do I even know? It's complicated family business." Ace dismissed a bit harshly.

Though he didn't mean to put it out like that.

"Ok whatever-" Catherine was interrupted by ace speaking once more.

"Actually Yknow what care to join me for lunch?" Ace questioned

" hmm, I'll think about it, Just come to the library if I'm there then sure if not then no." Catherine smirk.

"Ok, you do you." Ace shook his head, walking away.

Later in the library~

Ace had just arrived to the double doors of the library.

Entering it he noticed the blonde.

"Catherine?" Ace called.

"Hey- well let's get going shall we?" Catherine asked in a bored tone.

They then headed to the cafeteria, getting some food, Ace grabbing some ravioli and Catherine got a shrimp cocktail.

They sat in silence til Catherine spoke.

"So, why'd you invite me to eat with you?"

Ace glanced over at her " there are people I don't want to talk to right now, that also I don't see you with anyone, so how come?"

"*sigh* I like to be alone, unlike you who seems to like being with people." Catherine shrugged.

"Well you seem to get that part right but come on I'm sure you get bored sometimes..?" Ace chuckled.

"Sometimes." Catherine nodded.

5 minutes had passed, and she hadn't insulted him or say something snarky.

" hey uh I have to ask, how come you looked so down today?" Catherine questioned.

"It's kinda personal but I had something I really wanted taken away from me." He answered, his happy expression dying down.

"Oh... well since you can't exactly tell me try to look on the bright side, that's what my father use to tell me.."
Ace only shrugged with a slight grin.

Catherine was thinking, could he actually relate to her and her problems?

Maybe she wasn't alone...

No!
No! No!

"I can't be thinking of such ridiculous thoughts!"

She had to get her self out of there.

"Well it's been nice talking to you, but I have a teacher to go see." Catherine spoke up.

"Alright.. but hey can I get your number..?" Ace asked, his face void of emotion.

"Yeah sure, here you go." Catherine answered, as she input her number into his phone.

"Well see you." Ace waved.

And that was it.

Out in the halls~

Far from sight, Catherine stopped in front of some lockers and looked down at her feet.

She sighed in frustration.

Why did she want to know his problem?

Why did she want to know if she and her problems could relate to him?

She was so so confused.

" why should I care about that madman's son?"

She's only realized she said it outloud when she looked over at a student that stood there.

"What are you looking at? SCRAM!" She barked.

The student dash off leaving just her and the rest of her thoughts.
