"I.......I don't believe it...", Elsa muttered, running her hand through her hair, dejected beyond words. Diana just stared at the shreds of paper while Lyon was mumbling "Oh god....." again and again to himself. "S......stop scaring me guys.", Diana said, "It's got a be a clue." Lyon looked up and tried to stay positive. "Yeah! Its a clue..." But Elsa had different things running through her head.
They hid in luggage bags and went all the way to Washington DC and back. They lied to Diana's parents as well as Lyon's mother. They almost got killed in the Great Pyramid and what reward do they get? A torn piece of paper.
Anger replaced sadness. The wind suddenly grew strong and it didn't take long for Lyon and Diana to guess what was happening. "ELSA!", they shouted, snapping the former out of her trance. The wind died down and Elsa sighed. "I'm sorry. I just..... After almost getting killed by a falling ceiling and a trip all the way to Egypt, what we get is a piece of paper …...its just so...." "Yeah I get it....", Lyon completed her confused thoughts.
Diana sat there, still holding on to Elsa's arm. She tried to think of positive things. What do I love the most? Seeing Monica face first in mud. She giggled, surprising the other two. Suddenly there was a knock on the door. Elsa got up and opened it to see Brenda. "You kids coming down? Its tea."
As the three descended the stairs, a high pitched squeal was heard. 'LYON!". "No....", Lyon groaned, making Elsa and Diana snigger. As the source of the voice, Monica got closer, her face twisted into disgust. "What are doing with THEM, sugarlumps?" "What's wrong with THEM?", Lyon asked, "And my name is not sugar lumps!"
Monica giggled flirtatiously. "Of course I know that, you silly goat." Her statement caused Lyon to raise an eyebrow while the girls were shaking silently with laughter. "Why are with a rich geek and a parent less pity?" Elsa stopped laughing and looked down. Lyon, fuming, retorted, "Aren't you an orphan too?"
Monica gave a weird laugh and said, "Yes, sweet. But this THING has been getting all the attention as if she has been born without seeing parents. Its been what? Three weeks? A month since she got here?" "I think you've said enough.", Lyon calmly said, while on the inside he wanted to stick a samurai sword down her pathetic throat.
"Anything for you.", Monica said, giggling. "Now let's go for tea." And saying so, she caught hold of his arm and dragged him to the dining hall. He mouthed the word 'Help' to Elsa and Diana who just stood there laughing.
Once they disappeared round the corner, Diana turned to Elsa and said, "Dont take what she said to heart, okay?". Elsa nodded and replied, "Not planning on. I remember what happened last time I did. You carry on. I dont feel hungry." Diana asked whether she was sure but Elsa insisted on not having tea.
Once she left, Elsa went outside the building and walked to the park. The rubble from the cyclone was cleared but the place looked dull and weird without trees. She sighed as she leaned against the metal fence.
"That's the third time you've sighed today."
Elsa turned around to see Lyon smirking at her. She raised her eyebrow and asked, "Since when did you start counting the number of times I sigh?" "You always sigh.", came the reply. Elsa chuckled and turned back to the empty park. "What's troubling you?", he asked.
"I...... Its hard when you work so hard and in return, we get nothing....." "We didnt get nothing! Come on, Elsa! Its not the end of the line and you know that!", Lyon urged. "I-"
"LYON! ELSA!"
Both of them turned to the source only to see Diana running towards them. "You've........*pant*...got to.......see....this....", she panted. They ran back to 616 as fast as they could. Inside, a young girl, around the age of seven stood. In her hand was the casket. "You can go now, Emily.", Diana told the brunette who scuttled off. "What happened?", Lyon asked. Diana nodded towards the desk.
"Emily found the torn pieces of paper in the casket. Thinking it was a puzzle, she started putting it together.", she explained. Elsa caught on and went for a closer look. All the chits of paper were rearranged to form a rectangular figure. A triangle with a star was on the left side while rest was covered with five thick stripes.
"What is that?", Lyon asked, looking from Elsa's shoulder. "It looks like a flag.", she suggested but Diana intervened, "Not just any flag. The Cuban flag."
"Cuba....... CUBA!!!", Elsa exclaimed in surprise. "We were so stupid. A seven year old solved the mystery. Dont you see?", she turned to the others. Diana was getting some of it but Lyon was completely blank.
She sighed and ignored Lyon who had said, "Four!" "Diana felt the heat because this paper was from the book.", she explained. "Cuba was once at the top of the charts in sugar industries and production. It was called the SUGAR BOWL!"
"But why did Menhvik point to Egypt?", Lyon asked. Elsa paused for a while and then continued, "He said that he failed the Trinity and pointed towards the CLUE to the book. But the Trinity never knew him. They told us that."
"So you're saying," Diana spoke, "that he was a Trinity worshipper?" Elsa shrugged. "Could be." "Maybe.......maybe it was taken from him and he managed to get hold of one paper on which he drew the flag of the place he lost it in."
Elsa and Diana turned to Lyon who himself was surprised at what he had said. "That's.......brilliant!", Elsa said. "In that book which I read on Columbus in DC, it was written that in Columbus' first voyage, they discovered three countries. They mistook Cuba for China."
"Oh I know this one.", Diana exclaimed. "After the voyage, Columbus' crew was said to have gone mad. So on his trip to America, his crew consisted of only about six people." "Not all. Just one.", Lyon said, joining the dots.
Elsa, who had been taping the paper pieces together, held up the finished product and said, "Menhvik went mad after losing the book. Something.....or someone took it from him but he had torn away a sheet on which he drew this. Their next trip was to Egypt. He hid it there."
"So we need to go to Cuba?", Diana asked quietly. There was pin drop silence. "I..I think so.", Elsa replied. "Okay, wait a second!", Lyon commanded. "Now where exactly in Cuba? All we have is a flag." "Yeah. That's the problem."
"Would it be of any help if we find out where the book was stolen from him?", Diana questioned. Lyon nodded, saying, "Yeah but how?"

The brunet frowned at the crystal in front of him. Augustus had been trying to track Traccia ever since the death of Alecto Filius. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. "Come in.", he answered, while going through various papers with his back turned towards the door.
"Hello, Auggy boy!"
Augustus rolled his eyes and turned to face the speaker. A boy slightly older than him stood at the doorway, smirking. He had light blonde hair and brown black eyes. "What are you up to?", he asked."Firstly, its Augustus and secondly, none of your business, Amyn", he retorted. "Oh but it is of my business.", Amyn replied. "You are supposed to find the guardians and I am supposed to find Traccia but it seems like you are multi tasking."
"I am contributing to the process."
"You are interrupting the process. Its my job to find Traccia. You stick with your job." And saying so, Amyn stormed off banging the door. Augustus scowled after him but was interrupted by a beeping from the crystal. Watching Earth.
