{Picture on side if you want to see Lyon's hairstyle....................yeah, i know its Percy............ Comment! Vote!!! :)}
Lyon stared confusedly at his mother who was humming a jolly song. He had started noticing changes in her behaviour as well as attire. Okay, he truly doesn't care about the behaviour but the clothes?! Both of them knew they weren't well off in the money part.
Amylia was humming the 'La Marseilles' , showing her French roots. Her hair was in a tight bun and her face didnt show anymore of old weaknesses and tiredness. She wore a clean white shirt tucked into a knee length black pencil skirt while her son stood behind her wearing a loose grey shirt and cargo pants.
"So, Mum," Lyon begun, "How's....uh....work?" "Just marvellous!", she sang as she put together a delicate crêpe. "You look happy. Love the weather, do you? Or is it the-" "Get to the point, Lyon!", Amylia said smiling.
Damn! Lyon thought. She had seen through his plan. "Where did you get the clothes and the money from? Why are you all of a sudden happy to go to work?"
Amylia washed her hands and strode over to him. She tried to calm down Lyon's bed head and said, "While you are out spending time with Diana and Elsa, I am here all alone. So Kaitlyn comes along asking me to go shopping with her. On the way I told her about our......plight and guess what she suggested?"
His mother looked at him curiously. As expected, he shrugged. Amylia rolled her eyes and said, "She offered me a job, you silly boy! A well paid job!"
Lyon remained quiet for a while and then said, "Oh." But inside, he was beaming with happiness. Now they will be settled with enough money!
Suddenly, he heard a song resounding from his room. '....here we are, don't turn away now. We are the warriors......' His mobile phone. He ran to his room answered it. "Hello? Who is this?"
"Your dead grandmother."
"Hey, Diana."
He could picture Diana smirking as she said, "How's momma's boy doing today?" "Momma's boy is doing pretty fine today. Why did you call?", he replied.
"Oh nothing. Its just that we sort of found a clue on the whereabouts of the book in Cuba. Nothing serious at all."
Lyon rolled his eyes and said, "I'm coming."
---------------------------------------------
"You have lousy timing."
"Thanks for the compliment."
Lyon and Elsa greeted each other as they walked over to Diana's house. She lived in a mansion sized house which didnt fail in attracting passers by. "Its a big house.", Lyon commented. "That's an understatement.", came the reply.
"Hey guys!", a loud voice boomed from the front door. Diana came skipping down the front steps. "Come to the storage room behind. Not inside." Lyon frowned and said, "We come to see her castle of a house and she takes us to the storage room." "Shut up!", the redhead snapped.
They walked to a separate room attached to the back of the house. It was filled with tools and whatnot. "Okay, so what have you got for us?", Elsa asked.
"This."
Diana unraveled a large map in front of them on a wooden table. "Map of Cuba.", she explained. "Found it in the library." "What clue is in the map?", Lyon asked.
Diana pulled out a red felt pen and drew a circle at the east end of the Cuban province. "There. That is where I think our destination lies." "Just like that?!", Elsa asked, surprised. Diana rolled her eyes. "Obviously not! Look at this."
She went to box on a shelf labeled 'Diana's property' and pulled out a magnifying glass and the paper with the Cuban flag which she had taken. "I was examining it yesterday and I found this." She gestured to Elsa to come and look through the magnifying glass. Elsa examined the paper and her mouth fell open when she saw what she was supposed to see. Lyon exhibited the same reaction when he too saw it.
The lines which made up the flag were tiny words........well, numbers! Two numbers being repeated again and again. 21N and 84W.
"Coordinates. These are coordinates!", Lyon exclaimed. "Twenty one north and eighty four south." Diana grinned. "Admit that I am-"
Suddenly her body when rigid, surprising the other two. "Diana?", Elsa asked, waving her hand in front of her face. Diana's doe-like brown eyes suddenly glowed a strange green. All of sudden, she broke out of it and fell onto the floor, gasping for air.
"Elsa! Water!", Lyon said as he cradled her head and let her lean on his chest. "Right!", she replied and was about to run to the house when Lyon called her back. "What?", she asked. He looked at her expectantly and then it fell into place.
"Oh."
Elsa scrambled for a cup and washed it in the tap outside the room. She then waved her hand in circular motion on top of it and clear water appeared. She gave it to Diana who gulped it down as fast she could.
Once she caught her breath, she looked up at the other two and said, "I saw you, Elsa." Both of them had a 'what the hell?!' expression on their face. "Its true. I saw you surrounded by three large chunks of rock. You were standing on water and your hands......your hands were on fire. There was a lot of wind and behind you, lots of purple people sort of creatures were standing.
Like an army."
There was a silence and Lyon broke it saying, "Cool." Elsa knelt beside Diana and said, "I have never done that. I only have the ability to summon one element at a time, not all five." "I....I think I saw the future because the place you were in looked nothing like old Mother Earth.", Diana said. "Maybe we do make it to Beremuth.", Lyon said excitedly.
"Is it normal to see the future?", Diana asked quietly. Elsa and Lyon looked at each other and Lyon said, "Oh yeah, totally! Its a trend! Seeing the future and then falling." Diana puffed her cheeks out and punched him playfully as Elsa laughed as she watched them bicker. Once again.
They all got up and looked at the map once again. "Okay, leave the future. How do we get to these coordinates? They are in the ocean!", Lyon exclaimed. Diana once again intervened. "I researched and found out that these are the coordinates of an underwater city in Cuba. They are some kind of granite complex structures which sunk to the bottom of the ocean."
"Bottom of the ocean?! We'll need a submarine to go down there.", Elsa stated. Diana sighed. "That's the problem."
"But even if we get a submarine, we'll need help to get to Cuba!", Lyon said. "I know someone but we have to trust her with our secret.", Elsa said, looking down. All three looked at each other back and forth. "She isn't like Monica, is she?", Diana asked and fear filled Lyon's eyes. Elsa laughed and said, "No way. She is my best friend." "Okay then. Show of hands. Who all are ready to trust this girl?", Diana asked.
All three hands were up.
-----------------------------------------------
The three of them sat in Starbucks, waiting for THE girl. Diana sipped on a hot chocolate while Lyon gulped down an iced mocha. Elsa quietly ate her tuxedo mousse cheesecake when a feminine voice was heard behind them. "Elsa?"
A girl about their age stood there. She had brown hair pulled into a pony and deep brown eyes. She had a soft smile etched on her face when she saw her best friend. Elsa grinning, stood up and hugged her. "I'm sorry about your-" "Shush! Its okay.", Elsa said, smiling. The girl smiled back and asked, "I believe you need my help?"
"Not only your help but your word on it too. I.....WE need you to keep a secret. A HUGE secret! Not like crushes or anything."
The girl knitted her eyebrows together and then said, "Anything for you. What are best friend for?"
Turning to the other two who were now standing up, Elsa said, "Guys, meet Tessa!"
