Diana woke up to the screeching of her alarm. Her eyes barely open, she groped around for the alarm and switched it off. The silence returned and she plopped back on to the plush bed when the door flew open.
Kaitlyn came rushing in, still sporting a nightgown. "Diana, darling! Come down this instant. There is something you should see." Surprised by the tone of her voice, Diana groggily got up and followed her mother down the stairs.
Her eyes flew open at the sight in front of her. Burned on to the wooden panelled floor were the words- 'I am coming for you'. Diana saw her father pacing around, obviously not knowing what to do. She went up to him and asked, "Did you find any clue?"
Matt shook his head lightly and said, "These words have been BURNED into the floor. With what, only god knows!"
Another half hour later, the police arrived and they got themselves busy with searching and inspection of the house and the wordings. Diana, by that time, had changed into a sky blue shirt and brown pants and had pulled on a pair of biker gloves (you know why.....).
She made her way to Lyon's house where he, along with Tessa and Elsa were waiting. As she made her way down the familiar alley, her eyes caught something disturbing. Among the spray painted words on the wall were five words that sent chills down her spine.
I am coming for you
Diana took off on her heels the moment she read it, trying to reach his house as fast as she can.
"Hi miss!", greeted Diana as she ran past Amylia who was just opening the door. She barged into Lyon's bedroom to see all three talking about some topic.
Elsa, Tessa and Lyon jumped into the air when they heard the door bang. A flustered Diana stood there, a crazed look in her eyes. "In my house..........on the wall...", she stuttered. "Yeah, its not only you.", Lyon said. He removed his backpack from the floor and beneath it was the same message. 'I am coming for you'
"Me too.", Elsa added. She pulled her phone out of her pocket and flipped to a photo. On the closet was the very same message burned in.
"Whoever is doing this knows our secret because only we three were targeted.", Lyon stated. "Well," Tessa said, "According to you guys, I'm the only one you have told your secret to." "True.", said Diana, "I think we should ask the guardians. But right now, let's get back to our plan on going to Cuba."
Elsa pulled out her laptop out of her bag. She switched it on and plugged in Lyon's camera. Soon, she had the picture of the document on the screen. All of them leaned in to have a closer look.
The paper was divided into four columns. One for ship name, then for destination, the remaining two for dock number and departure time. "Here it is.", Tessa said, pointing to the bottom. There, written in black ink was 'Cuba'. "The Bonitas. Leaving dock 6 at 0930 hours tomorrow.", Lyon read out. "Now all we need to do is sneak on it, right?", Diana asked but to her disappointment, Elsa shook her head.
"How do we explain to the adults about our disappearance?", she asked. "Leave that!", Lyon said, who was browsing on the internet. "Apparently, dock 6 is in FLORIDA!!" Tessa almost fell off her chair. "What?", Diana asked. "Dock 6 is in Florida. Its in the side of the harbour owned by Kewrell Co. in Florida.", he repeated.
Elsa groaned, throwing her head back. "Oh just great!", she muttered. "Now how are we to get to Florida? That's a one day trip. We'll be on the ship for around two hours and anyways, we'll be landing in Havana. From there, we need to find transport to the west coast. Let's take that as two days. THEN we need to figure out how to reach the bottom of the ocean! Then getting back to Massachusetts! This will take approximately four to five days!"
